I HAD to know if they played/got injured etc, so went on the Wet Spam website and read this on the minute by minute report:

7.58pm - John Terry, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole get a very nice welcome as they are announced individually. Unfortunately, with the title race still on, Chelsea won't let the trio play. They've put their kits on, though, and fair play to them. Lampard gives Carr a big hug on the way past, and the England midfielder gets a very good reception, which is fantastic to hear. It's nothing to the noise when Di Canio's name is announced for a second time.

Thank F for that!

Tony Carr's testimonial game right?

Yes that's right. I was wondering what sort of reception Lamps might get. Shows just what a true gent and proffessional he is by turning out for someone who helped start his carreer even though he gets dogs abuse from those jealous, bitter, twisted, West Ham fans!

Here here, well done Lamps, personally I wouldn't have done it. Lamps is a true gent.

I actually do not mind if they play for the respect to Tony Carr.

However with the big Wigan game at the weekend, did they play a full time in the testimonial match?

I am worried about their stamina on Sunday

It says in one of the earlier posts that they weren't allowed to play but the three of them wanted to turn up to show their respect and put the kits on for the occassion.

No problem there as far as I can see. Well done lads and all due respect to Tony Carr who's been a key factor in so many top class players careers.

Ya as mentioned in one of the pictures and here on the forum, they weren't allowed to play in the game as they have a Premiership title game on Sunday.
