CFCCAN Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is ready to swoop for Brazilian ace Kaka - Todays headlines in the People......they state that Chelsea want them both for 100 mill....a wish list I fancy? Jose may let Kaka go if he gets a player also.....Ashley Cole..would we give him up for Kaka plus cash? :o
WoodmanBlue Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 100 mill for a player that is no where near as good as he was (not even in the 20 best midfielders anymore) and torres who is always injured and who's form is very much in question atm. NO THANKS!
jcm28 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I would rather Ozil and Aguero/Muller Me too. And there aren't many players I like enough to give up ashley. I'd be quite happy if it happens, but still, ozil/aguero would be better, imo.
scottish born chelsea blue Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 we would be fools to go for it ashley gives us so much on the left plus kaka's ageing by the time he adapts to the pl we would have probs binned him
wicksy Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 I would rather Ozil and Aguero/Muller Agree 100%. The above would be exciting signings with, all in their early 20's. Perfect. An ageing Kaka reminds me of the Shevchenko scenario all over again. Torres seems to be a huge risk as he is injury prone.
Hutch Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 as i stated elsewhere - no thanks. Torres may be a great striker when he's on form, but he's also inconsistent, petulant, injury prone and would cost a fortune, as would Kaka, who has also been off form of late. in fact, looking at recent form, if Real are interested in Ashley Cole, it's they who should be offering Kaka in part exchange. if club are to spend anything like £100 million, or even half that amount, then money could be used far more wisely.
Andreas Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 In no way do I want A.Cole to leave Chelsea, worlds best left back and trading him and money for kaka would be a big, big mistake. 50 million for kaka is way to expensive anyway, isnt he 28 or 29 now anyway?
Mikstaw Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 Ashley Cole must stay!!! He's the best left back in the world!
Barry Bridges Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 only RM players I'd want atm would be Higuain and Alonso Maybe Torres, for no other reason to rub it in the scousers face "He'll never sign for another EPL club, he is to loyal to us!!!! He said he wants his daughter to haev a scouser accent!!!!!!!!11" HAhahahahhahahahahhaa
TheWestwayWonder Posted July 5, 2010 Posted July 5, 2010 only RM players I'd want atm would be Higuain and Alonso Maybe Torres, for no other reason to rub it in the scousers face "He'll never sign for another EPL club, he is to loyal to us!!!! He said he wants his daughter to haev a scouser accent!!!!!!!!11" HAhahahahhahahahahhaa I would take Ronaldo and quite a few more than those, but the point is made, Kaka is probably not a wise investment at this point. I think he is gonna have a big bounce-back year at Madrid this season. I'd say getting Torres and Kaka is a (crack) pipe dream, but I am starting to think the Ashley Cole to Spain stuff has legs. I saw a big article with quotes from Sergio Ramos, talking about how Cole and Gerrard should be coming to Madrid, and how much Jose rates them. One interview doesnt mean jack, but its a sign of how the Madrid media machine (Marca, etc) are probably getting behind those transfers. Just like AS are asking every Barca player for quotes about Fabregas coming to Barca, after a while the media pressure become huge.
mad_mac Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I think Ashley will leave, and I will be gutted (who'd honestly think they would be saying this a few years ago?)! I think Jose rates him highly, and rightly so. He's just had a nightmare session at the World Cup; not him personally, but the England team as a whole and he'll be used as a fall guy if the press continue with the "Ashley Hates England" stories. Add to that, but he's spat in the face of England's media darling, Cherly Cole. There is no way that she will come out of this any other way than smelling of roses. Even down to preliminary reports of her wanting "nothing from Ashley but a quick divorce!" Ashley will be seen as the antihero to her heroine status. So, you come back to England, to a team full of "mates" but I don't think "fiiends," and you are being villified from every angle. On one hand you can stay and try let your playing do all the talking without the off the field distractions getting in the way (but we all know how Terry's off field antics affected the team last season); on the other, you can go play for one of the biggest teams in the world, and probably see out your career in Spain away from all the bullsh*t. I think Jose will be on the phone to him pretty quick, and I think we'll all be hoping that Zhirkov can step up rapidly!

Yeh agree probably the best thing for him to leave if he aint happy in England...great player but no point staying in a team if you are constantly unhappy, however I don't like Zhirkov as a permanent replacement, think he is better in a left midfield position. Only problem is that there are not to many good left backs who we can target, maybe Contraoe from Portual. However Ashley may not leave, just a backup plan will be good if it happens :(
evissy Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 There is no way in h*ll we will sign both Kaká and Torres, even one of them is a long shot. Kaká is a true gem. Don't be distracted by the bad year he has had. He will be good come next season. He is one of those players who can singlehandedly make team succeed. Take him out the team and you start losing. Torres is great as well. This tournament tells nothing about him. I don't think he will move anywhere. If he was to go I think it would be Real. Cashing in on Ashley Cole wouldn't be the biggest lost we ever had. If someone were to offer 25-30mill for a left back I'd say sell. The position isn't as crucial as creative midfielder or striker and we have Zhirkov. I truly believe the team wouldn't weaken that much if Ashley were to leave. I actually think letting go Ivanovic would be a bigger loss. He can play CB and RB which is a great asset.
Mikstaw Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Yes, I agree 100 millions is too much... And there's no way to sign them both...

Jose might rate him but didtn Ashley say he hadnt really enjoyed his football under him and was glad Carlo had let him attack with more freedom? Im not sure he would look forward to having to curb the attacking side of his game again.
rahul Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I think losing Ash would be a big mistake. There is no one who can replace him at the moment and as good as Zhirkov is, he's more of an attacker with slightly suspect defending capabilities. We had real problems with the right back position before Bossy and later Ivanovic made the position impermeable. We tried Geremy, Boula, Ferriera even Essien without success as most of the goals we conceded came from the right. Now that we're well placed regarding those positions, I dont want us to create another hole for oppositions to exploit considering we have bigger issues to tackle like a creative/box to box midfielder.
BLUENUT Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Chelsea - learn your lesson. Galactico's - NO!!!!!!!!!
Arq Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I would rather Ozil and Aguero/Muller Same here! And the club would save a lot of money in the process...

Bridgeboy Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 I do not want either of them, I would like to schweinsteiger at Chels forsure ! Definitely not giving up Ashley for anyone. Do we really need a striker just yet ?
Hutch Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Sami Mokbel must have read this thread. And remembered it. Who he you ask? Sami Mokbel writes for the Mail, and today came up with a story that Abramovich is "lining up a £25million summer move for Brazil star Kaka". I doubt anyone will be surprised to learn that the story contains not a single quote. Now get Kaka: Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich ready to fund £25m bid
gee Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 much rather have Ganso if it was for the same price
HazardsLeftPeg Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 much rather have Ganso if it was for the same price Hmm.. exactly, but who do you think our club would go for given the choice?
