Bruma signs new four year deal

Featured Replies

Looks like hes here for the long run then, great to see the club keeping such a superb prospect at the club and letting him now grow in to the first team gradually.

Yep he seems a really down to earth kid - met him at Clapham Junction the other week he seemed genuinly surprised that someone recognised him - Franco ( my son - aged 9 and a budding defender) went up and asked him for his autograph - he seemed really chuffed and stood talking to him until his train came

Good luck to him and wish him a long and illustrious career at Chelsea - lets hope the additional money doesn't go to his head and he ends up plastered across the tabloids like so many young English players seem to do.

Lets hope there are more good news stories coming from the academy in the future

He's overated, we should of splashed the cash on Titus Bramble when we had the chance. He had the potential to be our new Riccy.

Shame on you Carlo.

Back to reality...

Hopefully he'll get some chance to prove some people wrong on this forum to show that he's capable of being a solid centre back for us instead of spending silly money on a defender.

Bruma's talent has now been rewarded by the club at every level he has played - early inclusion into the Youth team that just failed to win the FA Youth Cup, followed by immediate promotion to captain of the team and on victory in the competition. Now he has a four year contract that can be seen by every Academy player as THE goal that they too can aim for. Time for Sam Wallace to recognise and acknowledge the emergence of the first Chelsea youngster to go through the present system and on to first team status?

its great news, now lets get him fit and playing regular, he's not go get any better sitting on the bench watching

Yeah, I hope he will become important player for us soon! ::ChELSeAFaN::::ChElSeaFLag::

Glad to hear, you and your son probably made his week! Must make it easier not being a first team player when fans still recognize you off the street and stop by to say good things/ask for autographs.

Maybe he we will get an opportunity to showcase his talents sooner rather than later, if the injuries to Ivan and JT prove to be ongoing.
