Jesus Navas

Featured Replies

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is keeping tabs on Spain international Jesus Navas, who could be available for a cut-price in January.

Navas currently plays for La Liga side Sevilla but contract talks between the player and the club have stalled and Chelsea could offer the 24-year-old the chance to move on in January.

The tricky winger nearly moved to Stamford Bridge in 2006 but changed his mind and decided to stick with Sevilla, where he has spent the entirety of his professional career to date after graduating from the club's youth set-up.

Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also believed to be keen, according to reports in Spain, and Ancelotti could face a battle to secure a deal for Navas.

he is verry good player, but no way that sevilla wil let him go...

Can't we have a break from sh*tty rumours till a week or so before the next transfer window opens - before we get another 40 page thread about a player that we never bid for anyway!

He struggled moving to sevilla as even that is too far from his home for his liking and its the reason why he wont join barca or madrid who have both tried. We almost did pick him up a few years back but it fell through as a result of the aforementioned homesickness. No chance whatsoever. He is very talented all the same

Exactly. The guy suffers serious home sickness problems, no chance he'll be coming here IMO.

We could always put some drugs ni his milk before he flys, worked on BA Baracus.

Think he is being silly suffering from home sickness, he's a grown up man and is a professional footballer so he should of been prepared about having to move around a bit, could really have joined a top club winning things by now if he wasn't so attached to his family.

Great player and he will probably regret not moving away to a bigger club later on when he could of.

I thought he was finally over the whole home sickness thing and thats why he was picked for Spain.

Even if he gets over it, its still a huge red flag. If he moves to a place like London, new team, new league, and things dont go exactly as planned what happens then?

Even if its kind of forced, its nice to see a very talented Spanish player sticking with a "smaller" club like Sevilla rather than moving to one of the giants.

Don't like him at all. I've only seen him playing for Spain in the WC but I didn't like him there. He is not strong or creative. He is a fast runner and that is about it. Falls into Defoe, SWP category in my book. Don't like that type in Chelsea.

I'm not really a big believer in him, but I don't know how you can argue with having Jesus play on your team. Besides when you say it backwards it sounds like sausage!

with no spanish players here, no players i think he's ever played with, there is surely no way on earth we would be buying the most homesick player ive ever heard of. prob all bulls**t anyway, agents love using us to get there players improved contracts.

Apparently not, mate!

yet another thread that makes me despair!

I think that he might be good player for Chelsea. We've got Malouda on the left wing, but Jesus Navas would be great player for right wing too. Benayoun is 30, so he isn't young... Navas would be great transfer! But... Benayoun is a good player too...

Have you looked into his eyes? it was like the first time i heard The Beatles.

He couldn't hit a barn door with a bazooka. He's all speed and trickery with very little end product. That said, if he wishes to sign and prove me wrong........

Often wished we'd had some sort of psychiatrist perform the Jedi mind trick on him so he would have signed in 2006. But what's done is done and we've got a squad doin' alright now so I wish they would write about that rather than pie in the sky rubbish.

Robinho didnt struggle, just couldnt be arsed playing for a team he'd never of. Granted his attitude at times, especially at away games wasnt great. But he done more than enough to prove he cope with vigours of the english game. He just didnt want to.

Had he of signed for us, I think it would have been a completely different story.

Navas isnt in robinho's league, in terms of ability. Dont think we should be looking to bring him in. Would rather us take a punt on Eden Hazard.
