I cannot even remember why we wanted him now.I think it’s always been more that Juve would love to move him on. He cost them £62 million or thereabouts iirc and will be on huge wages compared to most in their squad. Just had a look and he was on €250,000 a week net. It’s probably only Haaland that’s on more in this country. His wages were doubled for the final two years of his contract which is probably why he’s now been released on a free as they were trying to extend his contract for €6 million per year and there’s no way he’d take a drop that big.He looked very good at Fiorentina but has flattered to deceive after a bad injury a few years ago.Stay well clear. The only attribute he learned from VVD is tackling by pushing players. Like buying Tosin with triple the wages. So obvious. Regardless what you think of Konate, by now, all of us know what type of player that we will sign.

Friday at 15:182 days BlueCo's inability to read the room or them just simply not giving a sh*t will never cease to amaze me. Because that's what we should be doing right now. Allocating funds to buy teenagers that will be loaned to Strasbourg and won't ever wear a Chelsea kit in a professional game. I swear to all that is good, I will fly out there myself if the players we sign for the first team are absolutely rubbish amidst all the gaslighting and PR.

They’d have to massively clear their books to spend over. This fits in line with their Barcola interest, who’ll cost significantly less than Rogers. They also want to strengthen at ST and in midfield/defence. We may have a free shot at Rogers but the difficulty is still the same. How do you convince him to join.

Best we could offer is an incentivized wage with a “promise” that it could be in excess of £200kpw should the club qualify for champions league.

That’s unless the Manchester clubs get involved.

I reckon they did put in a bid with the thinking he will be loaned out to Strasbourg, player most likely opted for Brighton. They have gutted that Strasbourg team this summer with Emegha, Penders & Barco leaving for us, and Moreira and other itching for a move away. They need to get players in fast or the team will unravel. Edited 18 hours ago18 hr by markpitts

Will probably go on to be a worldly now we ain’t signed him but this summer has to be about prioritising the first team. All funds required for that.

3 hours ago3 hr Alejandro Grimaldo to replace Marc Cucurella . . .apparently. Allegedly. lol.He is 30. Which would make him the oldest player we have signed since Sterling most likely. I do get a sense that Marc is leaving. I personally am ok with Hato being the LB, but we also need to adjust the squad. The estimated transfer value for Alejandro Grimaldo is between €23.6 million and €28.8 million. . . .or maybe we could swap him for our current Alejandro G?
