Random Rumours

I do not watch Serie A at all, but I know that at some point maybe last summer City were rumoured to be interested in Cambiaso and I thought I would check Juventus' social media platforms to have an idea on what type of player he is. The guy gets Garnacho levels of hate from the Juventus fanbase.

Worrying.

The league as a whole is crap! If you want to sign a player from that league, do it before they are 21. Can’t trust any player over that age in a league where Pedro (ex Chelsea) at 38yrs is still putting up 5 league goals and 2 assists in limited starts.

The Cambiaso rumour is just strange because this is his best season ever with 3 league goals and 4 assists which is poor for a wingback, when you consider DiMarco at Inter playing the same role had 7 league goals and 17 assists.

Agreed. So many examples: Lukaku or Juan Cuadrado who had a career at Juve!
Pace merchants can do well there.

I'm struggling to understand these Morgan Rogers links.

Even if we do get the funds to buy Rogers (after selling Enzo), what could we possibly offer over Arsenal? We can't/won't compete with them on wages and they offer far more stability.

Over Arsenal? Well, they are kunts and we are not (fan wise) and we have some great young lads in the squad and they have a bumch of kunts in their squad. But yeah if you want to look at the 'evidence' then yeah we do not offer much.

I know World Cup summers are disruptive in transfer terms, but why am I expecting us to do absolutely nothing anyway. I haven’t seen much in the way of links to anyone, and certainly nothing that seems plausible. In our current state, I find it very hard to imagine us signing anyone that doesn’t play for Strasbourg, and we’ve signed half of them already. Poor Alonso. I wonder if he’s already planning his post Chelsea career recovery?

If you're an attacker with flair, you don't want to play for Arteta. Look at what Eze has become. You go from an exciting player that ends up doing a defensive shift for 85 minutes and crossing the ball into the box for the other 5.

Alonso would like to sign. . . .Wirtz to Chelsea?

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has moved to clarify the situation surrounding Wirtz and a potential sensational summer move to Chelsea. Rumours had suggested that new Blues boss Xabi Alonso was eager to strike a deal for the 23-year-old, with whom he enjoyed a trophy-laden spell during their time together at Bayer Leverkusen.

Addressing the speculation on his YouTube channel, Romano dismissed the idea that a Stamford Bridge switch is currently in the works. The journalist insisted that while the bond between the manager and player remains strong, no formal negotiations have taken place between the two Premier League rivals regarding a summer transfer.

In short, Romano started the rumour and is milking it for clicks. It's his way. Ignore the twat.

The perfect click bait, start a rumour saying player x will move to club x, keep the rumour going, then post that theres no real substance to the rumour. Amazes me how many fall for this c**ts schtick over and over.,

Only the prospect of him getting to play alongside his best mate Palmer would be the only factor in our favour. Other than that Arsenal currently sh*ts on us on all sporting levels and no players would choose us over them, as much as I hate to say it.

But to convince the likes of Rogers 1) leave Champions League football or 2) join Arsenal, just to come and play with his mate, it would take insane levels of sh*thousery from the board and they would have to go back to the same way of approaching players and fooling them into joining this so called "great project" like they did with most of the current squad. They fooled lots of players once, let's see if they can do it again. Human nature says they definitely can.

Rumours are we’ve had chats with Morgan Rodgers and apart from the fact we have no Champions League football next season we are not budging on wages we give to new players.

Sounds unlikely to happen IMO.

Might be better off going for Gibbs-White before Spurs try again with him.

We’ll probably end up with Jarrod Bowen out of these 3 players 😂

Im sure Liverpool had the whole better position champions league football line when they tried to sign Caicedo and Lavia, but we managed to convince the both of 'em. Although the whole new project line maybe less convincing nowadays.

As much as getting to the Champions League final is a big pull that utterly pathetic none league performance is just as much of a repulsion.

Caicedo spoke to us first and then Liverpool tried to hijack the deal but he had his heart set on Chelsea.

Liverpool spoke to Lavia first then dropped talks to go after Caicedo instead and then when they lost that battle they tried to re-visit the Lavia situation but Lavia probably felt like sloppy seconds in their eyes so came to us.

Anyway, I think Xabi Alonso will have some pulling power and am looking forward to him being our manager but I feel the wages we offer could make getting top players very difficult compared to what other clubs will offer.

We also need to convince them we are going in the right direction as a football club.

I’m hopeful more than confident TBH.

Anyhow let’s hope The Board can surprise us and we can get a very good player with Premier League experience rather than any old player with Premier League experience.

Because IMO there is a big difference between the two.

Luckily Alonso still has an aura of a winner at the moment that could be a pull for top players with the Chelsea name and location still having a slither of attraction. A hell of a lot better than if briefcase was still in charge. That would have been a pretty dire situation which sadly could even be a future predicament if it doesn't work out with Alonso.

We're at a tipping point that could start the Spursification of Chelsea. Alonso has to work there's no alternative and we need to back him to the hilt.
If he wants Rogers we need to go all out to get him, we don't have time to wait for teenage wannabe's to develop or buying the next market opportunity (Leao).

Dusan Vlahovic [26] to Chelsea? He is back in the news - the roomers - he is also 'wanted' by Man United [apparently].

AND if you like that one, then you'll love the Harry to Chelsea rumour. Harry Maguire [33]. Our fear of signing players who are not teenagers has now been discarded for going after old geezers who were never that good.

Not really, that fraud starts rumours of with zero substance so he can run with them for ages, then backtracks with some nonsense made up bullsh*t.

By all means bring in random rumours, but dont get angry at them when its blatantly absolute bo**ocks.
