I've just remembered they weren't Park Drive they were these monstrosities. Our assistant manager well he was one of the kids sons he was a 60 year old Scottish geezer unsurprisingly called Jock. Here's a good link to smoking the only ones I don't remember or smoked where Albany.

Thank your lucky stars they weren’t those Paddy fags, Major.

Every puff on one of those equals roughly a year off yer life

My old man smoked Irish fags called Sweet Afton far far worse than Major.

Yeah, Players Weights were lethal. They didn't have a filter, but they were my mum's choice until she succumbed to the Big C.

Training session prior to the 1975 game v Spurs.

I think that's the longest I've ever seen Chopper's hair, perhaps he was trying to keep up with the young 'uns!

Fat lot of good that session did.

Cuttings, again, courtesy of the great bounder friardale site.

Arsenal in the bottom half of the table there yet they won the double next season.

Only 14,000 odd at Sunderland v Spurs. Just shy of the record attendance at Upton Park, no doubt bolstered by Cockney Reds.

Talking of Cockney Reds, I see Banana Bobs got a book out. Very well known bloke Wimbledon/ Sutton way.

He said to me once “ I wouldn’t mind be called Bob the Wog if I was actually black”
