Remember this one, in the seats of pompeys main stand, during 1st half, a big one went to mow went up, with the usual enthusiastic 10 men went to mow at end, half time game, and Ken Bates came up to seats to say we'd caused the stand to crack and could we move to the terraces where the majority of Chelsea were, some moved and some stayed in stand like myself, half time was delayed and Our fans made a point by all sitting down on terraces and doing mow meadow again, we went 2-0 down, and Hitchcock did a wonder save at 2-0, Dixon came on as sub as had been arrested for betting or something, and the last 15 mins was fantastic, up there as one of my most memorable matches

John Aston of United.  His name has always stuck with me because on one of his football cards back in the 60’s he had a really big head.

MOTM in the 1968 European Cup final. Broke his leg at Maine Road in the following season and never regained his place and was sold to Luton.

I'd never have remembered that and back then, I could pretty much tell you who was in the Chelsea side. All right, confession time. I have relatives in Clapham, most of whom were Chelsea fans, and still are. My aunt (mum's sister) married a London lad in the war and they settled in Clapham, though he was originally from Hounslow.

Bestie said to the ref “ you are a f**king disgrace”

Afterwards he reckoned he was talking to himself not the ref!

Cheers.

Just noticed it was Dennis Rofe's birthday on Stamford Bridge.com today and saw that picture of Tony McAndrew taking the penalty at the Baseball Ground.

I admit, pictures I post can be 'a bit random' to say the least.

Guilty My Lord.

I decided against posting one of James Docherty though...
