Saw this on Twitter not quite sure where it was North End Rd/ Lillie Rd apparently. The old flat roof estate pubs always were to be avoided all over the country always full of loons 😁

My abiding memory of that particular vehicle is up at Stoke away on a Sunday, one of the first ever league matches played on a Sunday, also one of Ossie’s last games before he was sold to Southampton/forced out of the club. Crowding round the van after the game, “Don’t go Ossie”,  we appealed, but all in vain. 
 
If ever there was a classic example of hero turned villain, then that man was Dave Sexton.

Dead right about those pubs. I think they were clubs for escaped nutters!

 The player in the bottom picture in the  white strip, is the legendary Hungarian player of the 1950s Nandor Hidegkuti.

The guy in the glasses fifth from the left at the back looks suspiciously like yours truly, I'm not certain though. It would be nice to know the date of the pic as after October I missed the rest of the season travelling in Asia. Yes I know, I missed that season!
