April 14, 20224 yr I can remember nothing games from the 70's and 80's I have no recollection of this game at all. Possibly because Selhurst Park is probably my most visited away stadium certainly at that time and they all sort of blend into each other.

April 25, 20224 yr A bit different. I hope to go. Combines two of my interests: the club and military history. https://www.alexchurchill.co.uk/battlefield-tours Following a successful trip in 2019, my aim to once again take a limited group to key sites in France and Belgium for a long weekend in June. Based on "Over Land and Sea: Chelsea FC and the Great War" this tour not only covers the impact of war on football, Chelsea in particular and the impact of the clubs fans and players. It also serves as a comprehensive introduction to the battlefields of the Western Front. The Tour will comprise one night in Arras and two in Ypres, and will also cover events on the Somme. (*Covid Pending)
April 25, 20224 yr West Ham 84 can't think of a game where it kicked off more it was happening in all parts of the ground.

Stockholm for the CWCF there was a square go between two Chelsea fans that went on for a fair bit, everyone gave them room and let them get on with it. I cant tell you how many times I've seen away fans get caught out at the Bridge sitting in small groups in the likes of the East Upper. Much safer with your own fans however I have bought tickets off touts and chanced it in home sections, Millwall in the cup 95 probably the diciest.

I was at the home leg in 95 with Millwall charging the Lower North with my brother not the best feeling as they crossed the half way line with a cram in the aisle near the stairs to get out. Just as I was thinking whether we would need to make a run and leap into the West Stand mounted police suddenly appeared. I take you were at the first leg at Millwall in the home section?

I've been in the wrong end a few times with Chelsea notably Villa, Spurs and Arsenal. I was with a Villa mate from work we couldn't get in the Chelsea end so ended up in the Holte End like that Jasper Carrot sketch my mate asked me to get the grub in at half time I had to whisper are you taking the piss with my accent !. Got in the Arsenal seats although to be honest can't remember why pretty sure we were given the whole of the clock end it certainly wasn't like 84 and wasn't packed my mates said we were getting daggers from a few Gooners mainly about me swearing at every decision that went against us. Spurs 93 I went on a whim pissed up after drinking with my workmates in Chalk Farm ended up in The Shelf I was very lucky to leave in one piece when we scored I cheered quite a few did but at half time queueing up for grub a few Spurs were giving not very subtle hints that they knew I was Chelsea.

Was walking round the ground and bumped into a face from my manor whose Millwall, who pointed me in the direction of a tout they'd just done business with. To this day I think he still reckons I'm Millwall and I wasn't going to correct him that afternoon. It did kick off in the stand I was in with fifty to eighty CFC who got tickets off the Chelsea tout Tweedy. Funnily enough I went to the Oval to watch England a while back, and recognised the same faces knocking out tickets there, North End Road boys who talked out the corners of their mouths.
