September 5, 201312 yr Regarding the glorious 83/84 season I am pretty sure that sadly great chunks of it were not even filmed. My brother use to record bits at the weekend on BBC +ITV. We were quite big news after our start. If you look on ITN website and YouTube there is quite a bit there. We were on Match of the day at home to Man city, Oldham, Blackburn Rovers Away games Man city ( Live) news plus football focus we were on Sheff Wed, Fulham, Newcastle, Cardiff, Leceister, Cambridge? Can anyone remember any more? Great interview on foot ball Focus with Peter Osgood talking about Kerry Dixon saying how good he was and that if he got to play for England he would give him his crown! September 8, 201312 yr Just been through the loft and came across these. A couple of fun days out!!They were the days No alcohol! Remember some funny concoctions in bottles of coke. Stewards and police use to look at the lids to see if there was a broken seal, if there was they use to take a swig and take it off you if alcohol detected. Along with the long queue for the supporters diet of Coke, crisps sausage rolls and mars bars. Remember taking an air horn with me about 14years old, what a noise on the platform and sight of a whole train clapping and chanting " Chelsea" after 9 blasts of the horn!
September 8, 201312 yr Talking about the alcohol ban - anyone remember stepping off the plane in Stockholm in 98 and getting the letter from the local police that anyone found drinking in anything but a restaurant would be arrested along with those who urinated in public. Cue hundreds of Chels' with a huge cardboard cutout outside a chemist looking like Ed De Goey out on the street with bottles of grolsh and as we waited for buses to the ground loads pissing on the green ! Not to mention the pub next to the ground rammed full until ko and the turnstiles being left open for us !

September 14, 201312 yr Fair enough mate, to be honest i got pissed off with some bod on ebay who is now selling pics from various sites including this one i think? he's knocking out some of mine which i'm not happy about, i dont mind sharing them with fellow fans ect or them then using them but not to make a profit ffs. CB you can contact ebay & tell them he/she is infringing copyright & they will block seller.
September 14, 201312 yr Yes I think we all know the eBay seller and now his website. He has annoyed many. eBay don't give a damn, and won't do anything about it as they still want their final value fee Carshalton like yourself I got pleasure to share my vids with the genuine Chelsea fans on this forum, some who may not have seen the footage since they attended the games, but like yourself my posts were copied and sold on eBay and traded, so I had to pull them, which was a shame as I got the impression the Forum members really appreciated them. I just as well could have flogged the games, but profit wasn't the reason why I sourced the games and purchased. Although a lot of the games I posted are now doing the circuit worldwide I still have plenty of rare matches, which I hope to share again with those who enjoyed (I just loved all the comments and reflections, especially from Bluebeard) but this time I will host the website and put a block on (once I figure out the best way to do so) Forum boys can then once again remince our 3-1 victory with Liverpool and Arsenal away 77-78 as well a a host of full length matches not shown in the UK from the late 70's and early 80's, and for a few oldies including Sir Jimmy's last match for us, a real gem. CB you can contact ebay & tell them he/she is infringing copyright & they will block seller.
September 15, 201312 yr Author CB you can contact ebay & tell them he/she is infringing copyright & they will block seller. Someone else already has mate & he said they wasnt interested.

Nice to see you back on here mate, none of us knew that your vids had been taken & then sold for profit, that pisses me off & i cant blame you for pulling them, looking forward to any more clips you can post up, maybe there's a way for the admin & mods on here to stop people nicking pics/vids but not sure what that could be.
September 17, 201312 yr Yes I think we all know the eBay seller and now his website. He has annoyed many. eBay don't give a damn, and won't do anything about it as they still want their final value fee Forum boys can then once again remince our 3-1 victory with Liverpool Did you ever track that down? I remember you were trying to get the footage from Swedish TV or something, as it has never been shown on UK TV. It was a great shame you had to take your collection down, but it must be a bit sickening to see people making money out of stuff you spent years getting hold of. Anyway, great that you are back on the Shed.
September 17, 201312 yr Hi Backbiter Thanks mate Yes I eventually tracked the 3-1 down, is not great visuals but it is something I had not seen. Plus I didn't go to that game either . As for those selling the bits it put on here good luck to them. They will have to get off their lazy arse and find the games themselves now. There are still lots out there still to get, and I will get them, that's for sure. Hopefully I can get. Myself together to do a site where it will be a bit more challenging to just upload from Youtube. On the positive side, I still have the master tapes and discs, so my quality is still way ahead of the rest. Hope all is good lads I had personal issues to deal with last year so my visits here were less frequent. But I should be visiting more.
September 17, 201312 yr Blimey first time I've seen that Carshalton. On the occasions I've been to Liverpool or Everton I've always kept close to the ground its the only time any of my mates have been stabbed at a match. Liverpool away, some scouse c**t slashed his leg while he walked past a group of them he didn't even realise it at first. Proper nasty bar stewards and I remember Everton firing a couple of flares at us during a game and that was around the time Bradford had that fire. On a positive that day Steve Clarke scored I think and we went top of division 1 and that's where we were when we were sh*t! Edited September 17, 201312 yr by dstoner

They also painted "ORDiNARY TO CHELSEA" on a wall at Lime st station, 80s casuals now do it on a t-shirt.
September 17, 201312 yr Ordinary to Chelsea, yeah seen those shirts, didn't know the story thou. I remember at edge hill station was painted Cockneys are w**kers or something like that so that famous wit of theirs always made you feel welcome. Did the numpties turn up in London because the article is about them attacking us in Liverpool? Edited September 17, 201312 yr by dstoner
September 17, 201312 yr To Eddie Mac and Carlshalton, I agree with all the above. Can't believe a true blue would make money off the back of another fan. What about trying an evening at Chelsea in say Drakes or Dixons. Where all tapes or discs could be shown to an audience. If Chelsea could charge an amount that could be covered by the fans and both places have a bar which I'm sure would make money!! Also be a good meeting place for people on this site. I know E Mac is in Sweeden(hope that's right!) but if he makes a trip to England at any stage, do you think it possible?
September 17, 201312 yr Don't know who the culprit is, but have bought some DVDs off a guy in Sweeden. He has match of the day and the big match games from late 60s up to and including The live games that started around 1983. Charges 4£ a dvd

Remember how hard it was to get in. Police tried to put a line between us!! Three sets of fans at one game was fun, loved it that scoucers hated it!! Don't remember any problems after, went by independent coach. Never had problem at Everton, too young for what they called "kenny high st" 79 only 11!! Went by tube home to Victoria but never saw any aggro that day.
September 18, 201312 yr Was up at that 4-3 and Teabar is Spot on about the golf balls. I was standing on that crap bit of terrace to the left of the goal and the golf balls were whizzing over from their lot down the side most of the game.... no sign of them after though Funny what you remember and yet ask me what I did last Tuesday and I would have no idea

The chappy selling the 60's Match of the Day's and 1960's and 70's Big Matches is a fella named Simon, I am familiar with him, the Match of the Day's he sells he was the originator of those, as recorded on Swedish TV, but all those Big Matches and the BBC Live game 1983-84 at City originate from me. I sourced those games and the ITN footage ( the poor coverage from ITN Source if from their website) As for playing my footage for the fans, I don't think Chelsea would allow that as they would have to pay the TV companies, bla bla bla Cheers mate
