Big big thank you to eddie macs blue and white army for a treasure trove of old footage.Fulham 75/76 was my first away game as a 9 year old. Only really remembered the score and chelsea fans running on the pitch! Fantastic to see that and many of the others again. Cheers. Have you got Shrewsbury away from 82 0r 83, 4-2 to us. I remember the tv cameras being there but i was gutted they never showed it?

Cheers MKBlue

Its a privilage to share the games with you and everyone.

As long as I am not dominating the thread and pissing the author off, then no problem

I have been collecting for years, far too long to be concidered right in the head, as the wife would say

You keep posting, I'll keep watching, most of those you've posted are from my best ever years for going to matches, I think I went from March 74, Burnley at home during the 3 day week although I'd been to the ground the day before when it was postponed and was unaware of it being played the next day, until August or September 78 when we lost 3-0 to Leeds without missing a home game, including friendlies and testimonials and in all only missed 12 between Dec 71 and the end of 85 season, and I'm seeing many of these games for the first time since the actual match. Amazing as well the lengths we'd go to just to get to a match on schoolboy funds, that Ipswich away from 74, I remember me and a mate getting a bus all the way from Streatham to Liverpool St to catch the special as that would work out at a total of 10p, for two buses each way, for fares. More money for ciggies that way.

No mate I don't have the 4-2 game, I only have the goals when they beat us in 1981-82 (I think)

It may have been filmed and shown in their region, but I am not aware it being shown on LWT.

TV coverage started to get a sketchy about that time as TV where starting to show full matches

Fantastic stuff, really nice interview with butch after that Carlisle game too, talking abought his mum giving him grief and not going out with his brother because he's "caught"

Well I never thought I'd ever see that Fulham Anglo Scottish Cup game I mentioned in an earlier post in my lifetime ! I was on the North Stand for the Carlisle game too, we were pissing ourselves when hobbling Brian Basson blasted that third one in.

Incredible seeing these again, superb. ::clap2:::wink:

I never realised I'd seen Steve Sherwood play for Chelsea, always thought he missed his only chance in the game that David Webb played in goal against Ipswich.

They certainly did, and went on to win the Cup against Liverpool.

They were a very exprienced side, where United like us were mainly kids. They got promoted the following season 1977-78 with the Spuds

I saw the 1977 FA Cup Final down at my uncles in southern Scotland. He got live coverage from Northern Irish TV.We never got the FA Cup live in general Scotland until the 1981 replay

I'm pretty sure that the Oldham game was Ron Harris' last match for us, after which we were sweating on Westham getting a result at Roker Park 2 days after winning the cup, needless to say the 'ammers surrendered meekly as lambs which left us missing out on promotion on goal difference.

I found these and scanned them. I took these as a nipper back in 1988 against Liverpool. Obviously the quality ain't too great but some good old shots of the Shed.

If you put these on your website, can you give credit to the forum.

Brilliant pics, i'm actually looking for the same sort of pics from the Utd game that same season, i've been told Utd had loads & loads of fans in our west stand, jumped up when they scored & Chelsea fans didnt do a thing which i find hard to believe seeing as the west stand was the place our "hoolifans" moved to once the east lower gate 13 had become a family enclosure, i remember West Ham & Arsenal in the west in 87 but not Utd in 88, i'd love to see the west in the background after one of their goals just to see if any Utd are up celebrating like they claim to be.

I remember the Blackburn game after our relagation where no away fans were allowed in and there was a group in the west that celebrated their goals. Nothing happened from what I saw then, other than a sea of heads turn round at them. There wasn't loads then, just a handful. Not sure what happened to them after the game

West ham broke my heart that night, i was a 10 old kid totally now obsessed with Chelsea FC, i was allowed to stay up late that night for the football result of Sunderland v West Ham knowing a 2.0 WHU win would mean me watching Chelsea in the top division, i went to bed gutted after finding out they'd lost 2.0 propebrly still pissed from their cup final celebrations, that game & the fact i was bullied by some WHU fans at SB in 1981 has filled me with hatred for them even since.
