We looked a million dollars in that Inter Milan strip but we were dire on the day. Ossie blamed the heavy pitch but I reckon we thought we'd already won the match, before it even started! Then an ex Blue, Jim McCalliog gets their second goal, bang on the final whistle, to rub salt in the wounds. Crestfallen I was. It’s different now we’ve won everything in sight, but in years gone by getting knocked out the Cup was gutting. Spurs 82, Derby 83, Man U at Villa Park 96....

November 25, 20187 yr What year was the Orient game when at half time, loads of mostly black groundstaff raked the pitch at half time? Pretty un PC looking back, but the song went up “ They’re planting coconuts, they’re planting coconuts..”
November 25, 20187 yr In 91 against Liverpool at home I was in the Shed behind a couple and one sounded a right cockney. He didn't stop his banter all match and was insulting Liverpool in every possible way. It was Barnes and Bananas and Beardsley and Esmeralda are connections I remember. He was certainly offensive to many of the general public yet the way he expressed it was bloody funny.
November 26, 20187 yr A home 4-1 win v Man City on 21st Nov 1984 . Milk Cup tie and that pen by wee Pat !
