30th Sept 72. Coventry City v Chelsea, some 7 mins of highlights.

 Wed, 30th Sep 1970 . We won 5-1 to go through and eventually we'd win Cup.  In front of 40,425.

 We won 1 - 0 with Mark Hughes scoring in the 52nd min.   31,048 saw it. Nigel Spackman sent off in the 90th min.

Keown, Parlour, Bergkamp , Jensen and Bould were all booked for the losing team.

Silly from Spackman at the end though doubt Keown would've have got the yellow he deserved. You don't see obvious contact like that these days.

Watching that brought back the frustrations of Paul Furlong, nothing seemed to fall for him.

Apart from Bruges at home in cup winners cup in 1995, keeper cleared hit him on arse at went in, if I remember? Bridge was in good voice that night!!

I was there that night in the rain singing from the benches, yes good closing down by Furlong. I hoped at the time that would break a spell where he was struggling.

It didn't if I remember correctly.

Here, the Russian players walk out on to the pitch at Stamford Bridge, carrying bouquets for their Chelsea opponents. The match was so popular that ticket touts were able to charge up to £5 for tickets that had a face-value of just 10 shillings and the official attendance of 74,496 is considered at least 25,000 short of the true attendance.
