Division 2 Match Between Chelsea And Fulham 'Fans sitting in a partially demolished part of the ground watching the Division 2 match between Chelsea and Fulham at Stamford Bridge, London, England, 27th December 1976. The North Stand had been demolished and replaced by open terracing for standing supporters. (Photo by Evening Standard/Hulton Archive/Getty Images)' Original photo caption. Wouldn't be allowed to do that. Couldn't get anywhere near a demolition and building site now. I remember as a kid me and mates playing in an old Victorian House which was due to be demolished. One of us (not me!) got stuck in the cellar and had to be dragged out through a small window at the top of the room. For those who have been to Barcelona and visited La Sagrada Familia will know that parts of that resemble a building site and building work started over a hundred years ago.

We won 2-0.and report above from the great bounder, friardale site. Got a feeling our crowd that weekend was larger than the North London Derby same weekend?
April 19, 20206 yr We've all seen this before it's more of a shout out to the provider which is an excellent place for old games.
April 19, 20206 yr Best no 3 worse no 4 not a proper Chelsea badge for me. Shout out to the 70's two star one which would be runner up. Edited April 19, 20206 yr by bluehaze

Astounding building. Will be even better when/if they finish it. It took 600 years to finish the incredible Cologne cathedral. And now they are working on it constantly to stop bits falling off it. Don't think Brian Bason ever played for us again. Edited April 19, 20206 yr by Backbiter

As you say an incredible building. I think it has the highest spire in Europe. Visited La Sagrada Familia in 2005 when we played Barcelona in the Champions League. Will be great when it's finished. A terrible shame that Gaudi who designed it ended up as a pauper. He was knocked down and killed by a tram. Nobody recognised him at first. A sad ending to his life.

We stayed in the Gaudi hotel which is right opposite one of his buildings, just off Las Rambles. It's a wonderful city. Cologne is a colossal cathedral but not the tallest, which is in Ulm, not far from Stuttgart. Nowhere near as awe-inspiring as Cologne, though. Edited April 19, 20206 yr by Backbiter

I can see why those two clubs get pissed off with us, London's most glamorous club, nearest to central London, bigger away support , and only London club to win the European cup, I think we can safely say we are blessed to support the only London club that really matters
