Eden Hazard's first English paper interview

Featured Replies

Just found this on the independent. Really good interview and sounds like he is enjoying life at Chelsea.

Is it me or do many of our players seem to be really happy here?

It does seem that way, but I wouldn't expect them to say otherwise to a newspaper...

We dont get many who want to leave which is nice.

We are usually well in for trophies and the players are handsomely paid, two of the most important factors for them no doubt about it.

That's true. I must admit though, Moses (especially), Mata, Hazard and Luiz all seem very passionate about the club, and they all are fairly recent signings. It's a good sign. Hazard when he scored that penalty against Manure, you could see the passion in his expression.

I like that most if not all of our squad are really likable characters. Can't imagine myself liking someone like Rooney or Scholes or Tevez because they're all just detestable.

Been a great signing for us so far. Some of his play is incredible. He's a little inconsistent, but that's to be expected at the age of 21.

That's an excellent point, one forgotten by the media and opposing fans when they throw the 'mercenaries' tag at our players.

It does seem players that the club want to keep do stay for at least the duration of their contract, most longer.

I think that proves that (besides the money) the club look after their 'playing staff, and Chelsea is a good environment for a player, winning trophies doesn't harm the scenario either of course !!

I can't think of the last top player we lost to a big club unlike the regular exodus's from Arse/Looserpool/Spuds among others.

In 10 years I think only robbed has left before we got the best out of him. The only player I can remember being disappointed about leaving was Sam dalla bona, since I've been supporting Chelsea since 94.

I am sure fans of other clubs would probably say the same about the likes of JT and Ash.

It's a typical footballers' interview, very safe answers given. I must say I'm quite impressed by his professionalism since he signed. In the summer there was quite a few of us on here who were concerned his ego could cause a problem, sometimes it's nice to be proved wrong.

Ah Robben, forgot about him, but to be fair the club didn't really try to keep him as i got the impression Jose thought he was injury prone and a bit of a pansy.

Was it Jose who got rid of Robben at Madrid

Nah, Robben was sold at the start of Manuel Pellegrini's only season at Real (The season Inter won the treble), and was instigated by Florentino Perez with the signings of Kaka, Ronaldo, Alonso, Benzema etc.
