Honestly don't see him here next season, I reckon he will be sold so we can gather fund for Costa and another striking option.

Costa will cost 32m as per his buy out clause I dont the urgency or need to sell probably the best striker in the world under 21.

I would personally prefer to sell him for a good profit and buy maybe costa or someone in the summer. Call back piazon and keep eto'o as well and I would be happy with that. To me when I watch him play he a lot of the time goes missing for large periods of the game and then maybe he scores a goal or 2 to make it seem like he had a great game based on stats.

That's really my vision of our strikers next year, altough im not that sold on costa, didnt see him play but if jose likes him who am i to disagree?

I'm not sure i'd see him behind Eto if they were both here next season, surely Eto would be used VERY sparingly by Jose, if only because of his age ?
I hope the lad would be willing to battle it out with one other top striker, and if he isn't.. He doesn't have what it takes to be at a really top club imo.

I dont think he expects to be first choice though, I think he expects to be given a chance and subsequently selected based on form, which at the start of last season he wasnt.

He was clearly the most in form in pre season, yet didnt get a single start in august.

I highly doubt the club will force him out to raise funds we dont need.

I think it all depends on torres, As I cant see any striker worth their salt being happy to be behind torres in the pecking order which is why sturridge left.

If torres goes I would think lukaku will be more than happy to battle with diego costa, and eto'o for minutes.

I think torres and eto'o have had good split of games, and I can see jose using lukaku away from home like he has with torres this season, The difference being I think lukaku will score goals.

I think we could easily keep 2 strikers happy, and I think 2 out an out strikers plus a hybrid like schurrle is all we need with the system we play.

How much game time has ba had this season? Not worth the squad place, Id be happy with costa, lukaku, and schurrle next season.

We've always had three strikers - it's just that the 3rd option is rarely used and usually one option is able to play multiple positions. Until I see Schurrle being used up top for a few games I might agree with you but right now I don't think Jose will test him there again.

drogba and kezman with gudjohnson as utility in 04/05

drogba and crespo again with gudjohnson in 05/06.

then it was drogba and sheva with kalou brought in to play the utilty role in 06/07.

pizzaro was brought in the following season as we had srarted ro play 442 more often but mourinho left very early in the 07/08 campaign.

We should not write him off but we also should not assume he can play as a striker unless he is given a run in such a position for a few matches and see how he does.

He apparently asked for a transfer not a loan, but Jose loaned him instead.

Not sure if Jose loaned him. Jose is consulted over these but he doesn't have the last word.

Because he is likely to get offers where he would get more games, why would he want to stay and be 3rd choice and be Like Demba Ba and rarely play. He is at the end of his career and i would imagine he wants to enjoy his football not sit on the bench.
