BT Sports

I like BT sports, the guests they have on it are crap but they are only just getting started. I like the production of it. For example with sky when the players shake hands it goes to some betting advert and then it comes back when the game is ready to kick off. With BT the screen splits so you can still watch whats going on and only be slightly annoyed with the stupid betting adverts.

It's a work in progress, they need to sort out the pundits as they've fallen into the ex-Liverpool player love in issue that plagues English football coverage.

Ginola is okay but gives off a vibe at times that he really couldn't care and is just there for the paycheck.

Owen is woeful, his voice is just so dull. Andy Gray was annoying a lot of the time but what made him a decent co-commentator was that he actually got excited about what he was watching, there was a bit of passion to what he was saying... BT coverage feels a little too going through the motions right now.

I think to be fair to them they have just gone in and played it safe. Sky took a bit risk taking on Gary Neville, lucky for them it worked out.

BT have gone with ex pundits that Sky dont want anymore but are known the the public. BT are taking on a company that have been going for 20 odd years and have had all that time to get things right. I think given a bit of time BT can become just as good. I was pleased with what i saw yesterday.

BT showed Dortmund v Bayern a few months ago and their pundit was Boris Becker. There's no coming back from that. Also, Mark Halsey on ref watch is the worst thing in the world.

Ref watch is pants, agreed.

It adds nothing to the commentary except confusion about why they have so many people talking during the game.

I hate the little window that pops up in the corner of the screen showing nothing in particular.... If it's that important show us, otherwise f**k off.

I would rather listen to any of the BT Sports Pundits than spend my time just trying to understand that f**king Carragher w**ker.

Did anyone else notice the pundits yesterday after the Utd game ?

They were wrapping it all up and near the end they were all standing in the middle of the floor in a little circle discussing issues.

It looks so painful. No one knew where to put their hands etc and it just seemed so unnecessary and awkward.

Yeah the pundits are rubbish on it. I guess with time that will improve. The more money they get and when the CL comes to them they will get much better pundits in.

The little screen annoys me! I don't need to see a player sitting on the bench.

Slightly off topic but did anyone see ITV's highlights programme last night? After every game they showed highlights of the goals...except from ours. Apparently a discussion about Ramires' dive was more important than the goals.

The standing thing was just such a rubbish idea. Whats wrong with sitting at the desk chatting, or even a sofa.

Both Sky and BT have been trying to outdo each other this year with their studio designs and quirky new features, quite funny to watch, both companies looking a bit desperate in the process.

Just glad someone has challenged sky as their pricing was getting out of order. But I agree the pundits are muppets and have zero charisma. I wonder who the next bin dipper will be a pundit???????

Gerrard

Oh christ, I hope the intro music for him is to his liking..

Monday Night Football with Gerrard as a pundit and into/outro music by Phil Collins.

If that's not enough to make you want to open your wrists up I don't know what is.
