Mohamed Salah to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Bolton and Shrewsbury in the League Cup this season.

Salah started both games on the right wing.

The right backs? Azpilicueta and Christensen.

Both matches Salah was the worst player in a Chelsea shirt. He just didn't cut it for us.

You're right, I saw those two games live and salah was bad but let's consider two things, 1st those two games were salah's ever starting games of the season and salah was in some sort of a "I don't know what I am doing" phase and 2nd the whole team was bad in those two games not only salah however salah assisted in Shrewsbury game just look at the team stats it was a disaster

and about salah not being fit in the system I already said my pov and tactics is constantly changing

look I am not defending salah, I really consider him a good player and I really want him to be given a second chance at chelsea

Really disagree, I fealt his build up play was excellet but his finishing sucked. It's clear since then that he was trying to hard with the final product but even so got an assist

Quite honestly I don't think we could have seen things any differently.

Salah was woeful in both games and extremely predictable.

What I would say it that he was a lot better at beating his man that Cuadrado has been, he wasn't afraid to use his pace but he always drove inside to get on his left, near enough every time. The trouble with Salah was he had no end product, either with passing or shooting.

Salah had the whole pre season with Mourinho, he started loads of games in the build up to the season and in those games it was the story as well, running down blind allies, wayward finishing, poor decision making, bad execution of the final ball.

He had a massive chance to steak a claim for being more involved because he got to work in a smaller group due to the World Cup and had a lot of game time to impress, he just didn't grab his chance.

You don't get a whole lot of chances at a club like Chelsea and I think no good performances in his first year caught up with him and Jose moved on.

Looking both at Cuadrado and Salah it must show how poor the Italian league in general is these days.

For evey kezman there is a suarez

For every soldardo there is a costa

For every Saviola there is an Aguero

It's why looking a numbers on a stats sight tells only a quarter of the story

I agree but you still need to know the background

last year preseason was alongside with Ramadan and Salah insisted on fasting while knowing it will be impossible for him to impress without eating or drinking adding to that the high heat of the summer sun and playing for full 90 minutes and let's keep in mind that muslims in England was fasting for almost 19 hours per day in last Ramadan that's only 5 hours eating 3 hours of the 5 hours was in the midnight (sleeping)

so tell me how could he impress or even walk in this circumstances

but it was his choice no one force him to fasting or not

Well you've said it yourself it was his choice.

He's put his faith above his profession and I can respect that but the consequence of that may be that it spelled the end of his Chelsea career.

The EPL may be The most competitive league in europe but that doesn't mean the Epl have the best teams.
3 italian teams reached to semi final in the European competitions what about the Epl teams?

The Champions League isn't the be all and end all yard stick for measuring competition.

And the Europa League is mostly treated as an inconvenience for English sides in it from the beginning.

The overall quality of the 20 teams in the Premier League is higher than that of any other league in my opinion.

I think that tactics employed by English teams have a lot to do with this as well (other then the fact wealth is shared pretty evenly) but from the games Ive watched in germany and spain, teams don't go out with a defensive mindset it's almost like they are playing to loose. Basically whoever has the biggest gun will normally win

I wouldn't sell him to spurs unless it was stupid money like over 20m. I'm sure there are a few teams that would pay 15m for him.

His value is over £18m right now IMO, i am sure liverpool will pay for him next summer.

Official ! Spurs offers 15 million pounds to get salah from chelsea.

Official in what sense? What source is this from?

He just suits a team that sits back more and hits on the counter, its not his fault he was signed by a team with high press that dont utilize his speed so much, still that goal he got in the 6 - nil beating of the arse was glorious.

Id happily see him move on and another winger / Traore brought in.
