Noticed there's no thread on this guy. His names been popping up a bit and I've heard a lot of good things. Seems like he'd be ideal in the pivot next to matic, good defensive contribution, good long balls, good set pieces, good long shot. What I really like though is how fast he can turn defence into attack.

Personally i don't get why players are so desperate to join that club. Yeah they have won more European Cups than anybody else but so what ? For the last 10 years they have been so unbalanced and boot out every good manager that comes their way that it is damaging their chances of winning silverware . Their fans are horrible as well. If you don't hit the ground running and score plenty of goals in your first few games then they get on your case and call you every name under the sun. They labelled Bale a flop in his first few months and now they love him.

 

For a side that is supposed to be so great and brilliant they don't win a whole lot.

 

In the last 10 years they have won 7 trophies, Chelsea have 13, Bayern Munich have 19, Man United have 15, Barcelona have 19. If you want success then surely these 4 teams would be more attractive than Real Madrid.

Can't say I've watched him loads, but he's been in most people's teams of the year for la liga so must be doing something right.

He's had a superb season and the Europa final wasn't his best game so no idea why people would be pointing to that.

Rakitic is f**king gun, I'd take him anyday but Real are there...

I cant see why Real would want Rakitic... there midfield is overflowing with quality
