I would give him a rest against Hull though tbh, I think he needs a rest.

People saying he needs to adapt but it's not like he's been bullied out of games due to the physicality, struggled with the pace or generally been quiet, he's just looked looked unable to do the basics, couldn't control the ball poor passing ect.
I said I didn't like the signing and I will still give him a lot more time as its very soon to be judging him or calling him a flop but when you look at salah in the Italian league it's not a great indicator.

Cuadrado is, sadly, exactly what I thought he would be after watching him play in Italy. Hopefully he will do a full 180 and turn out to be a completely different player. Heres to hoping

So far in his Chelsea career he's taken about 4 corners, and not one has come even close to clearing the first defender.
 
Our free-kicks and corners are pathetic in general but this guy has taken it to a whole new level.
 
I never thought I would ever see anybody worse at taking corners than Oscar and Willian.

If we have to wait about a year for him to settle and be any good, why couldn't we have done that with De Bruyne instead?

He is in bad form at the moment but i still like Cahill.I think i posted on here before that he is a very good CB but not world class and i stand by that. The problem is there is a real lack of world class CB around at the moment to buy, i mean if Vincent Kompany is one of the top CB in the world you know there is a lack of good defenders.

I think you're underrating Hazard to be honest. I'm not surprised though.
 
Aguero for me is the clear form player this year, but I don't think Sanchez has massively outperformed Eden. He's asked to do far more than Eden but they're both performing at the same level in my opinion.

Because it's really held back Hazard and Fabregas hasn't it.

Would agree with that Sparkz. I have to admit to some bias here as I absolutely love Cahill's attitude and commitment to the cause. I have said it before but it bears repeating IMO, he would throw himself in front of a bus to try and stop a shot on our goal. He is just like JT in that respect.
 
Yes, he was poor last night but so were Ivan, JT and Matic. Last season he had a blinder and I felt he was our most consistent defender just edging out Dave who also had a stormer. For the most part Gazza has not performed at the same exemplary levels this season and the only thing I can put it down to is the amount of football he has played over the past 18 months being a first choice starter for both club and country. He has looked a bit leggy and lost concentration sometimes this campaign, similar to how Oscar was last year. I think he may need to be rested a bit more.
 
To say he is average is plainly wrong. Last season proved beyond doubt what he is capable of, and he was a very good centre-half for other clubs before we signed him. He is not world-class though he had performances last year where he looked like he could make that leap. Personally I just want him to get that belief and consistency back as I don't think there any better replacements around who are available, proven in the EPL, and would make a better partnership with JT.

Its almost like on this forum you can only like one of Schurrle or Willian. I rate both players.

Like I said FC Mourinho's call and and he don't get much wrong. Overall I think he is making the right one. For the big games against the top sides it would be Willian every time for me.
I take the point others have made about Schurrle being given starts against the weaker more defensively minded team and agree with that.

I agree. Don't get me wrong i think he works hard defensively but i don't think he works harder than the rest of the team, he can just make up more ground than the others.
 
Even though i think CFCBlue12 went a bit of the top i do think he made some good points. We need to start seeing some end product from Willian, 6 goals and 9 assists in nearly 60 games for the club is not really good enough for a £30 million winger playing in a top team.
 
I would like to see Schurrle given an extended run in the team like Willian gets. It seems like Schurrle gets 1 or 2 games and he's out, and if he has a poor game he sometimes gets left out for a few weeks. I think it's only fair that Willian, who i thought was really poor today, get's the same treatment.
 
I think we look much better having Schurrle in the team and Willian coming off the bench. Schurrle is just a much bigger threat, especially against stubborn defences. He makes the runs into the box and keeps defenders guessing. He is also perfect for Fabregas. Fabregas is excellent at playing players in when they make the right moves into the box.
 
Willian doesn't do enough against defensive teams, for a guy with great pace he doesn't attack teams enough, he is too stop start and seems to run out of ideas too often.

He was rubbish today BUT some of the stick he's got is very much undeserved, i agree his goalscoring record isn't good enough but he's a very important player for our system, there's a reason why Jose starts him nearly every week and leaves Schurrle and Salah on the bench.

Willian apologists are like Mikel apologists, people with incredibly low and narrow expectations of a footballer at this level.....

I wouldn't want to sell Hazard for £100mil in todays transfermarket to be honest. The clubs top priority now should be to get him to sign a 5+ year contract with a release clause of atleast £200mil. For me there is no better player out there to create unbalance in established defences, confirmed by him leading the succesfull takeons %  in europe by some distance atm.

I really hope he signs a new contract, possibly a 5 year deal. We need to keep him out of the grasps of madrid by any means possible. We are building an empire here and eden is the man we got to build around.
