and also set the record of most league goals scored in one season which other keep talking about breaking !!

The last time United put 4 past City in the league? 2009-10, a certain team from London in blue won the title that season

Thankfully I have a registered account on Bluemoon (don't ask) and some of this sh*t is f**king GOLD.

The mother of all meltdowns.

Someone even asking if people can find Pellegrini's address so they can fire bomb his house.

Pellegrini has done an awful job this season, I can't believe so many are seeing him as a victim, he had a massive transfer budget, had a good assembled team from Mancini and he can't deliver.

They had a good spell last season that was it, we did them a massive favour, this season they haven't been impressive once. I'm really surprised how bad they've been, not that I'm complaining but Pellegrini has to take the blame for it.

He doesn't deal with transfers, only two signings he had 100% say in have turned out to be good. And it's because of the majority of Mancini's players that they are in this mess in the first place.

City in a need of complete overhaul is probably very true. They have a bunch of aging players but to do that overhaul they need time. You can't buy that transformation now with FFP. They have done very well in the league but their form in CL is alarming. There are so good teams in Europe and it is a different game.

They are still a major force in England of course overhaul or not but as we know very well they need a bit stability in managerial department. Pellegrini is as good as gone.

Because his players are sulking and not performing like Toure for example, he looks disinterested. Is that Pellegtini's fault? I don't think it is knowing his history.

He's inherited a fair few prima donnas and I don't think he can be blamed entirely for it.

If the manager can't get the players performing that's his fault.

Manager gets all the credit manager gets all the blame.

Do you think that would ever happen in a Mourinho side? Absolutely not, he would be out instantly no matter who he is.

And you know that 100% how? Director of footballs don't just make all the decisions, it is usually the managers who ask what they want, they are the ones who negotiate.

They've spent a sh*t tonne of money on players, if Pelligrini can't compete for a title with those players at his disposal he clearly isn't a great manager, he can't get his players performing that's on him.

Chelsea are a very strong side who can quite possibly turn us over in which there would be no shame. But at home we are more than capable of beating anybody. Citys spine of Hart, Kompany, Yaya, Silva, Aguero only managed 5 starts together last season without one or more of them being injured... We averaged 5-0 a game in those matches, we still won the league without that spine in tact. Just goes to show the depth we had the... We're even stronger now. Keep those 5 fit and no other side has anything close to that kind of strength. The media have been all over Chelsea declaring them favourites because they have finally bought a striker (Options aren't so great if he gets an injury or goes off the boil, but let's overlook that one shall we   ) where as City have just quietly got on with their business, strengthening in key positions with quality players.

We've gone under the radar which is amusing and pleasing in equal measure. Liverpool blustered for 30 mins last night without really doing anything, then we pulled them apart without ever getting out of 2nd gear. We haven't even warmed up yet, by the time we meet Chelsea at the Etihad in a couple of games time, the machine will be just about ready to roar!

Where is he now?

Yeah. Jose isn't brave enough to play all out and in a sense why should he against a red hot team.

I agree, this one's a situation where playing for the draw wouldn't be too bad. If we win then even better. But being at home I'd like to think we'd be a bit more adventurous.

Exactly, he was cringe worthy with the way he used to big up City, now he is nowhere to be seen.

He is a bit too calculative especially in situations like this. Maybe it is why he has all those trophies..not very entertaining games.

Don't agree, we are far to quick to blame managers in this sport. Those players are getting paid ridiculous amounts of money and look at Toure, he has been sulking all season.

Because Pellegrini said as much when Demichelis was signed.

The majority of the signings have been awful, it shouldn't be a surprise that he can't compete with them. I think it's clear there's a motivation problem, both the manager and the players should take blame for that but at the end of the day he's the one who picks the team knowing that certain players won't bother performing so it's understandable that people will blame him.

That's just how the game is now, we have to accept it, managers are also on a sh*t load of money.

If the side isn't delivering, the manager gets the blame, fair or not that's how it goes. But I have no sympathy for someone who has fantastic players at his disposal, a massive budget and can't even compete for the league, you're telling me he can't take most of the blame? He certainly isn't capable of keeping city at the top.

But if it wins us the league which it most likely should then we won't think too much about who we drew against or lost to.

Of course they are but to totally blame the manager when these same players did the same thing under the previous manager. Is not that simple.

There are to many prima donnas at City on huge moment who clearly don't care, I hardly think that the manager can be blamed for that when he inherited those players.

Because he can't motivate them.

Come on that's horse sh*t, a lot of times its players on crazy wages that aren't performing cause there egos are all bent out of shape. We have had the same situations here before, do you think Ancelotti deserved to be sacked?

But if it wins us the league which it most likely should then we won't think too much about who we drew against or lost to.

That is right. We shouldn't. We should actually try to enjoy these last games. I'm personally struggling to enjoy watching us. I just think about the title we might lose. Need to get over this [emoji1]

The games are so tense now and to add to that Arsenal and United have started showing up which adds a little something to the run in. Where's the fun in an easy title race? We also have a game in hand still to play. So I am pretty confident.

It's nerves mate all good, I've been nervous as hell for weeks. I think I might be a little less now but would normally be nervous for matches against Man U and Arsenal anyway

Maybe the problem with me is how this season has gone. We started great and lead the pack early on with good gap, then came the talk about us not losing a game whole season, then we lost, then we got knocked out of Europe and our game hasn't been very good. Losing this title would be one of the biggest choke's the league has seen. Pressure really is on.

I'm loving that Citeh have gone backwards faster than an Italian tank on the front line. Especially as, only a couple of months ago, so many of the doom-mongers on here were talking them up like they were Brazil '70 and saying Mourinho could learn alot from Pelligrini's attacking philosophy.

The season started amazingly for us, Costa and Fabregas firing straight away. And we did look unplayable for a while. But we started looking weaker and more vulnerable. The quality of the performances started to drop and like you said going out of the cup competitions didn't do wonders for anyone's nerves. Losing this title would be unthinkable. Especially when Jose has come out and said that we will win this title. To be fair despite the ups and downs we have been top of the table since day one so plenty to be happy about.
