F*** Galllas

Was thinking the same myself while watching them crash like a pile of dry turd.gif .

It sadens me however that Wenger MAY be on his way out. Possible ?

Non ?

He always makes me laugh, the clown.

I don't know what's funnier..the arse going out or the media doing a hilarious bit of backtracking after declaring wenger the messiah and the so-called 'kids' at the club, football's disciples, just two weeks ago.

another season without a trophy... icon_redface.gif

Surely (apart from the obtuse) the last few weeks is hardly a surprise for the Arse. At least I don't think it is based on an objective evaluation of the capabilities of their squad at present and the huge difference between the attitude shown on the park from their squad in 02/03/03/04 and the way they scored goals during that period versus their current malaise: knocking balls around interminably and having disdain for the use of your head may appeal to the aesthetes/press/chels haters for a time but it's hardly good business in the long run. What is most comical however was the way the press (being the conga line of suckholes that they mostly are when it comes to the Arse) lapped up the 2 wins over Pool in the Cups as some sort of vindication of their tiresome opinions that aesthetics in football is somehow way more important than consistent results and, hey, look what happens if you play this laissez/dutch/hungarian/youthful fare all the time: You get lots of goals and we all get to enjoy the way the game should be played, get to go home and watch Disneyland and all live happy ever after in the safe knowledge that the great Arsenal are doing the hard yards and preparing the callow blimey youth for country glory ahead etc. etc. etc

The reality of course is that the 2 results against Pool were total aberations when considered against the way the Arse has been playing for more than 2 years now and that there must, on any objective evaluation, be some serious soul searching going on in Nth London at the moment as to what the immediate future holds. Sure, they'll be either 3rd or 4th come May and they'll get to play CL again next year but at least for me, the abject and embarrassed, even fearful looks on Wengers and the other Arse staff's faces in the 2nd half said it all really.

Now I wonder what fresh excuses the press are going to make of this now?!? icon_wink.gif

shame on all of you for laughing at Arsenal's demise.

Instead you should all be feeling sorry for the team, fans and of course Wenger.

And of course for poor old Willy boy who left us for a better club.

Gotta hand it to him...he's a muppet alright:

The mood in this arena was grim enough without PSV Eindhoven reminding their hosts in the aftermath that the man who had effectively jettisoned Arsenal from this season's Champions League is technically a Chelsea player. "Alex won the tie for Eindhoven but it just shows Chelsea have enough money to buy the best players," said Ars?ne Wenger with a grimace. "That's not news." It was, however, galling.

(...)

Ronald Koeman, aware of cross-capital rivalries, appreciated the irony of the situation. "I think Chelsea will be happy tonight," he said. "Normally, they'd like the English team to go through, but I know about the occasional, not disagreements but let's say miscommunications sometimes between Jose Mourinho and Ars?ne Wenger. Alex is a Chelsea player and PSV rent him from them because I think he was still not allowed to play in England [he did not qualify for a work permit]. It's not just Alex who's playing in that kind of situation. More clubs use that kind of player these days.

Yeah, Wenger is of course right: Alex scored 2 beautiful goals (being of course the only goals) - clearly the best player on the night...don't talk about the other stats: possession, attempts, field position, number of passes, playing at home etc. etc. cos' that'd just reveal the obvious that not one Arse player could find the back of the net in over 3 hours of football. What's that immortal Tom Waits line:

Could never tell a lie cos' he never told the truth.... (or something)

Wenger is indeed priceless, an ornament to the game.

from Henry Winter in todays Telegraph...

Arsenal had hoped their season would end in Athens, and it has certainly ended in spectacular ruins.

I can tell you, as first aired on Sky last night.

"They are a different team without Henry, aren't they?" (wistful look at the camera)

That's the thing I hate most about Sky - they set the agenda, pound their ideas into peoples heads and then put out excuses (reasons they'd call them) as to why they were wrong, and use subtle ways to make you think you thought of it first. When Henry was out, the 'kids' were lauded as "wonderful". Now they've seized up, they revert to the obvious excuse.

Watching this bunch lose last night was sweet, especially after Richard Keys was put in his place by Ruud before the match:

"If PSV were to get through, it would be interesting to see what Uefa would do if they drew Chelsea, given their obvious links."

"I don't think so, " says Ruud. Then he just smiles at Keys, who waits for more. "What do you want me to say?"

"Well it would be interesting," says Keys.

"I don't know why it would be, " trying to get Keys to SAY it rather than infering that Chelsea have some sort of hold/ownership/partnership with the Dutch club.

"Well it's all academic at the moment, and we do hope Arsenal get through of course."

"Not all of us," says Ruud!

Expect a media witch hunt when we draw PSV!

"F**k 'em all, f**k 'em all,

Sky, ITV and Talksport."

Talking of that Loz (and sorry to do it again) but I just love this

William Gallas - "AUG 2005 - Things will no longer be so easy for Arsenal. The future is Chelsea, we are the ones moving forward. Arsenal have had their time"

and he still f**king joined them

Just need the Fool to stop choking and beat them to 3rd in the Prem

Ps add ?3 to my bill - cant think of a better way of spending it
