The Brit Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 De gea Clyne, Fonte, JT, Bertrand Coutinho Fabregas, Matic, Hazard Kane Costa Not balanced, but this is my team...even though Fabregas has suffered a dip of late, his amount of assists and form for first half was sublime, similar things could be said for Matic and Costa...picked Kane over Aguero cos his achievement is impressive...Coutinho has grown in influence longer season gone on
Celery1989 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) De Gea Clyne, Jose Fonte, JT, Azpi Schneiderlin, Matic Sanchez, Hazard Kane, Costa Edited April 20, 2015 by Celery1989
Zeta Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 My team of the year would be: De Gea Azpilicueta Terry Fonte Clyne Matic Fabregas Hazard Sanchez Kane Costa PTOY: hazard YPOTY: kane
launcher Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) Courtois Ivanovic Terry Fonte Azpilicueta Matic Fabregas Sanchez Hazard Costa Kane Ivanovic has been better at football than Clyne this year. De Gea has been the better shot stopper, Courtois had commanded his box superbly. i dont see how you can put courtois before de gea, especially after those 2 huge mistakes against stoke and hull. there was the one against man city as well. Blue Daze Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 i dont see how you can put courtois before de gea, especially after those 2 huge mistakes against stoke and hull. there was the one against man city as well. Partly because I'm biased, partly because De Gea has made some errors too but ultimately I think De Gea has been a little overrated putting in a lot of saves for the camera that look good but aren't technically difficult (in large part due to a flaky United defence) whereas Courtois has been underrated in his ability to command his box well and make fewer saves amid large periods of inactivity. They're different skillsets and I tend to value the latter over the former primarily because they fit our needs better. But like I said, I am biased.
Scott Harris Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 (edited) Ok, time to name my team of the year, it's been long enough now. De Gea Ivanovic Fonte Terry Bertrand Matic Fabregas Sanchez Sigurdsson Hazard Aguero Edited April 29, 2015 by Scott Harris
big blue Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Ok, time to name my team of the year, it's been long enough now. De Gea Ivanovic Fonte Terry Bertrand Matic Fabregas Sanchez Sigurdsson Hazard Aguero Sigurdsson over kane? No azpiliucueta?
Chelsbear Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 -------De Gea-------- Ivanovic-----Fonte---Terry---Azpi -------Matic----Schneiderlin------ Sanchez------Fabregas----------Hazard-- -------------Kane-------------- If Costa didn't have those hamstring problems it would have been him. Kane gets the nod over Aguero because of his record against the bigger sides and he's in a lesser team scoring the most goals.
Bobbywoodhogan Posted May 1, 2015 Author Posted May 1, 2015 I actually think I'm gonna change mine, I put Zabeleta in (still don't think he's been bad this season like some have said) but I felt like I needed to put a City player in because they were close to us earlier now though I've come to my senses. De Gea Clyne Terry Fonte Apzi Matic Fabregas Sanchez Hazard Costa Kane
BlueBosnian Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) De Gea Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Azpilicueta Hazard - Matic - Fabregas - Sanchez Costa - Aguero I don't know how they gave us 6 out of 11, no way they would do 8 as stated above, but I would go with this team. Coutinho over Fabregas, of all, is absolute joke to me. Another thing, Kane has had a great year, he's young, he's English, but no one can convince me that he has been better than Aguero, sorry. Hitsu Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Courtois Ivanovic terry Cahill azpi Magic fabregas Oscar Willian Costa hazard Not too toot my own horn but I reckon that team would win the league ;)
Scott Harris Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Sigurdsson over kane? No azpiliucueta? I only wanted 1 striker in my team and i think Sigurdsson has had a really good season that has been slightly over looked. I also think Bertrand has had an excellent season, so has Azpilicueta, but Bertrand has been very good defensively and very good going forward.

Fair enough, I quite like Sigurdsson myself, pity about his Tottenham connection!
