September 22, 201510 yr Hello everyone, I know this is a long shot but here goes... Back in 2011 I was traveling through London and lo and behold Chelsea were hosting Liverpool during my stay! I thought of course it would be sold out, but I believed somehow there would be a chance I could get in. I'm American, so it was news to me that in the UK ticket touts ("scalpers" as we call them) were highly illegal. My heart sank even as I questioned risking 100+ pounds on a ticket out side the stadium. I took the train to Stamford Bridge that day and had a fantastic time just watching all the fans stream in, but also watching police on horseback pull aside and ticket unsuspecting foreigners with illegitimate ticket. I was sure then that it would come to nothing and the once in a lifetime opportunity would have to wait for the next time I was in London... But just then, these two gentleman came over and asked me if I wanted a ticket! When they said it would cost face value only, I was sure I was going to get scammed but I couldn't let the opportunity go to waste. Little did I know they were just two super nice guys hoping to fill what would have been an empty seat. Needless to say, I had the most amazing time! Being surrounded by so many other fans, hearing all of the songs, and getting to see a great Chelsea team in action live was the greatest experience I can imagine. Even though we lost, I was on cloud 9 for weeks after. Now I am heading back to London with my girlfriend (a newly minted but die hard Chelsea fan as well) and I would love to meet up with these guys and buy them a drink. I took down their names and phone numbers at the time, but they have been lost over the years. The point: If anyone can identify these guys or provide some contact info, I would love to express my gratitude to them and meet up again in London this October! Any info is greatly appreciated! That's me in the middle. Sorry for the framing, this was taken by a very drunk lady.

September 23, 201510 yr Is anyone with more twitters knowledge/skill/contacts able to share the photo to flag to all the Chelsea-related twitter accounts? It would be great to find them - what a nice thing they did!

September 23, 201510 yr Spread across various chelsea forums etc the internet is bound to come up with the goods!
September 23, 201510 yr Best of luck with the search - great story! I've been lucky a few times outside grounds with genuine fans selling their spares at face value. Was this the match when Torres made his debut for us? I'm glad you had a good day - mine was a bloody disaster. Was living in Glasgow at the time. and as I managed to get a last minute ticket at a decent price I made the rash decision to go to the game - imagine if he scored against them! I took a megabus down overnight before the game, and the same straight back up overnight right after the final whistle as I had an exam the next day. Torres was marked off the park and Meireles got the winner for them... I had plenty of time to lament the result in between cramming through night on that bloody bus .
September 23, 201510 yr Author Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Is this not exactly what the internet was created for? Pinned, hope you find them. Thank you! Is anyone with more twitters knowledge/skill/contacts able to share the photo to flag to all the Chelsea-related twitter accounts? It would be great to find them - what a nice thing they did! Yes! I know next to nothing about twitter but was thinking about posting on Reddit. Not sure how welcome that would be from an outside to that community. Best of luck with the search - great story! Fantastic memory and great story! No matter the result making it to a match will always be a special memory. It was actually Torres and Meireles's debut. This was back in the AVB days...I had almost erased that part from my memory. I was right above the goal where Glen Johnson put the game away, perfect view in fact.
