R u getting lonely????    flicking between the game and other things....got to admit a good goal Arsenal scored, Chelsea look awful compared to what I have seen over the past couple of years.

Lets hope the ladies can cheer us up. I really like our new kit,  a proper shade of of blue as well.

Yes, Arsenal have been fiery from the start. Was hoping for the ladies to have a back to back win.

Arsenal started the half better....swarming all over the ladies in blue.....just can't see us coming back from this one...although this is a ladies game and mistakes are plentiful.

Anyone see the offside decision a few minutes into the game? It was shocking. Can't help but feel if the flag didn't go up we would have been 1 up. Arsenal creating all the chances so far

That Ji has been rank today, she's had a couple of great chances and fluffed them both!

Unfortunately our ladies have been woeful.....can't put two passes together...headers just go anywhere...and missed opportunities....unless Arsenal make a big boo boo, I fear this game is done and dusted.

They've caught whatever's been bugging our guys.

Come on ladies, at least equalise.

At the risk of being politically incorrect, ( I will cope with that), woman's football is rubbish. I don't think I have ever seen an exciting game with a high, consistent level of skill. This match is more of the same. Dire.

Don't understand why Aluko started on the bench, every time I've watched the women's team, she's the stand out player.

Rafferty is also miles better than Borges from what I've seen of the two.

It's different, I quite like, or at least my heart does, the slower pace. This game was not great.

Women's football is so bad. Just watched the game and the pace, quality and decision making is terrible.

Beaten by the better side, our ladies were rank rotten today, couldn't string two passes together and can't take changes.

That's a recipe for disaster at any level of football.

I don't doubt the endeavour and enthusiasm but the skill levels and quality aren't there. The most entertainment comes from the mistakes and poor decisions they make. As I said not just in this game, but in every women's game I have ever seen.

Yes, interesting and potentially 'dangerous' to consider the why's and wherefores.

For example football time in schools is minimal, and was more so if at all for girls.

Maybe the news exposure will create investment and focus on building skills and the mental side of things.

There are occaisional flashes of high skill and the technique, the Arsenal goal today for example, but they are a rarity rather than the norm. Blueblur mentions the obvious physical limitations which is a fair point.

I reckon the pitch should be made smaller so the women's game becomes halfway between futsal and full on football, the size of the pitch is why you see so many tame shots that you wouldn't see even in a U-16 boys match.

Also the size of the goal too, not sure if it's already smaller but it definitely should be, the average female GK is like 5'10.
