Yeah and watching him against Italy tonight totally backs that up. I know Belgium as a team were poor but that doesn't excuse things like his awful first touch, poor link up play and poor finishing.

 

Strikes me that he thinks he is a lot better than he is. Everyone is entitled to a poor game, but the minimum is to work hard, and show good movement. He done neither!

I have nothing against the guy but he's completely the wrong type of player we need upfront considering how teams defend against us.

Have to say last night demonstrated that well. Deep packed defence and his poor first touch and inability to play back to goal shone through.

Very rarely are we attacking into space which seems to be his preference.

His one on one miss was hilariously poor.

Belgian players seem to have a superiority complex. Forever bigging themselves up or sobbing to the media or demanding first team football without willingness to fight and prove themselves. Obviously not all players but they're a bunch of whiners in the Premier League.

He looked atrocious last night, no touch, bullied off the ball, made the wrong runs, and then blew his one big chance, but 20 odd in the PL last year, the big move he craves might of unsettled him, but that could prove his undoing...

Lukaku has been awful in every major tournament he's played in for Belgium. Its not just a one off thing.

Hazard is poor 90% of the times he plays for Belgium, but you wouldn't judge him based on that. Lukaku may be poor when he plays for Belgium but he's extremely talented and is far from the finished product.

Lukaku scores goals hwoever he's a pretty poor footballer. His touch hasn't improved since we signed him 4 years ago, Drogba was improving all the time, Lukaku simply isn't.
