Wonder why Rangers only covered one end of the ground  (Copland Road) back then ?

Same with Hamden, having only one terracing end covered then. Shown in your other photo.

Good question. Not sure why. Will look that up. Possibly due to cost? Ironically (if that's the right word) the covered end at Hampden was the Rangers end.

Yeah fair points and  the covered terracing end at Hampden was traditionally where the Rangers support gathered..

This is a great pic, I was in Glasgow once and I had a blast, I passed next to this road and I had a view similar to this it's really nice.

Overall the feeling in the city is like a bit old school which I really like, the people I talked to in Glasgow and Paisley were really nice and outgoing, one day I would like to see the old firm derby, I like the newer emblem on the kit, it looks like a design from some Brazilian club, pure passion.

Mickey Thomas scoring a free kick for Wrexham.

Wrexham knocking Arsenal out of the FA Cup in 1992.

That Arsenal kit was one of the worst ever.

Glasgow is a wonderful place. I've been to Ibrox a few times over the years and it's a great places. When Chelsea played Rangers in a pre-season friendly in 2007, the atmosphere was superb. I've been to a couple of Old Firm games over the years and the atmosphere is something else.

There was a banner in the Rangers support that day saying;   'Jose, Thanks for Seville. Porto 3-2 Celtic'

This was referring to the 2003 UEFA Cup Final.

The Dutch scoring in Euro 1988.

Some amount of Orange shirts on the terracings/stands !

It's a colour that stands out, you should see Amsterdam on King's Day, everybody is wearing something orange

Okay, I don't, because nowadays I avoid those festivities like the plague, but I used to participate way back when.

Cheers Val

Admit to liking that Dutch home kit of 1988.

Very iconic.

Not a bad strike force either.

I missed that banner. I was in the in the corner of the Broomlan Stand near the Govan (now Sandy Jardine stand) so it may have been in a part of the ground I couldn't see.

Chelsea lost 2-0 with the Rangers goals scored by Novo and Sebo. One of the few games I've been to where most Chelsea fans who were there didn't care about the result. As I 've mentioned before the atmosphere was wonderful. It was great for me to be able to sing Chelsea and Rangers songs. Comes from coming from a Rangers supporting family. Great banter on the Rangers supporters coach to and from Ibrox. Found these clips of the match. Will watch them later.

I'm waiting for when Chelsea play Rangers at Stamford Bridge. I'll be inundated by requests for tickets from friends and members of my family
