Well I think this is the sort of game where Oscar usually ends up as MOTM.

Oscar will get a brace here and as a result he will start our next 4 or 5 matches.

Every game should be a must win. We cannot pick and choose our wins.

Judging by Burnley so far, my instincts tell me the following:

 

- I would want us to start Fabregas

- I would want us to start two strikers, especially considering the form Costa and Batshuayi seem to be in.

 

Unfortunately a 4-4-2 with Fabregas in the middle (and without someone like Ramires as a wide man to cover for him) seems incredibly risky, so I'd suggest we play a diamond midfield. I can't imagine Burnley's full-backs (having seemingly regressed from the days of Trippier and Mee) will get forward especially often so the theoretical gaps shouldn't be too much of a problem. One concern I have is Ivanovic's ability to get up and down an entire flank by himself (particularly as he played in midweek) but I can't imagine Aina would be trusted to do it. It would probably also mean dropping Oscar to keep the solidity of Matic and Kanté in the midfield.

 

This has absolutely zero chance of happening of course, but it's a fun enough idea to kick around:

My mate (also Chels fan) has had a dream about this game and he reckons Diego gets a hatters then gets a red and subsequent 3 match ban for elbows. Game finishes 4-1, shall be interesting to see if it pans out that way. I'm thinking he's full of sh*t as usual but shall be interesting to see if what he predicted comes to pass.

Okay,  this is going to be a tricky game in that Burnley will definitely sit back and play counter.  They will try and get a draw ~ with a win as a bonus.  I think we should change our starting line up to start the game with creativity and a lot of threat so that these guys are pressed back.  Having fabregas is a good for us today cause he is quick to pick the killer pass and this gives opposition defence to time to organise.  Fabregas should sit deep with Kante who will work tirelessly to control the mid field.  Also I would like a comfortable win today instead of chasing it like we have in the first two games.

Mainly because if we play 2 up top we lack bodies in the middle of the park.

We would struggle to win the midfield battle if we took away one of them and played Cesc too.

I don't see us playing 2 up top just yet
