Andre Gray is going to provide a tough test of pace for Terry and Cahill we have not seen yet.  If we can keep him in check I'm thinking a 2-0 win for the blues. This is a counterattacking side so I expect us to have much more possession.

That's where Kante needs to come in...Gray is all about pace...match that in the early stages and his confidence drops quicker than a 10 bob hooker's knickers...

Get a couple of rough challenges in early?

Okay,  this is going to be a tricky game in that Burnley will definitely sit back and play counter.  They will try and get a draw ~ with a win as a bonus.  I think we should change our starting line up to start the game with creativity and a lot of threat so that these guys are pressed back.  Having fabregas is a good for us today cause he is quick to pick the killer pass and this gives opposition defence to time to organise.  Fabregas should sit deep with Kante who will work tirelessly to control the mid field.  Also I would like a comfortable win today instead of chasing it like we have in the first two games.

I would like to start with the following line up:

                      Tibaut

Ivan      Cahill     Terry      Dave

             Kante     Cesc

Willian    Costa   Michy    Hazard

Lets do the 4-2-4 and attack from the start.  Once we have blitzed them, then add Matic and Osca if necessary to become more compact!  Michy by all means should start!!!1

Apart from ivan, that's pretty much my line up too... Personally, I would like to see chalobah given a shot at CB..

Some people taking too much focus on cesc defensive fragility, as if that very thing would be our downfall in a match against anyone even the mighty burnley.. Even using your line up which include ivan there, I'd say we have more than enough to beat burnley quite comfortably..  I think the combination of cesc-hazrd-bats-costa should be great offensively for us.. willian can do the donkey works, helping out kante protecting the back 4..

I prefer to focus on the positives, with cesc, costa becomes a real genuine goal threat for us for the whole minutes he's on the pitch, not just some moment like we saw in the previous matches and that's massive.... batshuayi definitely earns enough to start game, he's a handful to handle..

I have to agree, at times there understanding is almost telepathic, I would argue Cesc has the best eye in the whole team for unlocking Diego's ability. Michy might be looking to steal that title though!

You own a sports channel? I've heard of Dave, never Val.

:-) I'm very modest about my possessions.

Btw I only know one Dave.

Game day!

Looking forward to Costa scoring but people questioning his temperament.

Looking forward to dominating possession but Matic and/or Oscar being slagged off throughout as if they'd shagged your mum and shat in your cereal.

Keeping a clean sheet but Ivanovic being spoken about as if he were less mobile than Oscar Pistorius without his prosthetics.

Winning the game but raising questions about how late Conte used his subs... That's not how I'd do it on Football Manager.

Looking forward to the obligatory rant about Chalobah not playing... He's the second coming of Pirlo don't you know?

Anything I've missed?

Enjoy the game everyone, come on you Blues!

You forgot to mention Pedro mate. Oh and how bored someone is after only 10 minutes.

The incessant ranting that we are leaving it too late in the window to pick up a decent defender and that we have no cover despite the fact that we have delayed the loans of Miazga and Kenedy just in case we can't pick up anyone decent

and that everyone in the Chelsea board should be fired as we have had our first truly mediocre season since Abramovich arrived.

These have been done to death this week so I imagine they will spill into the match day thread.

I think we'll stick at least 3 past Burnley. I have full confidence in this team. I would love to see Conte experiment a bit and start with both Costa and Bats upfront but we all know that won't happen.

Batshuayi coming off the bench to score.

The winner.

And Mark f**king Clattenburg

Hopefully Tony Gale won't be doing the commentary too.

Come on you Blues! Let's smash them and go top of the table!

Dyche said earlier this month: ‘There is a thirst for foreign coaches who are always tactical geniuses. There is still a thirst from the populous for foreign managers and foreign players. They’re a bit more snazzy — let’s see what this Belgian manager or this Argentine manager can do. Antonio Conte came in at Chelsea and he got commended for bringing a hard, fast, new leadership to Chelsea, which involved doing 800 metre runs, 400m runs and 200m runs.

‘Come to my training and see Sean Dyche doing that and you’d say, “Dinosaur, a young English dinosaur manager, hasn’t got a clue”. So is it perception or is it fact? I have no problem with it. It’s the reality I say. Perception is radically different to what is going on with young English managers

What a little c**t! Couldn't stand him from our last match sticking up for his dirty bunch of twats, especially ashley Barnes (I think) for nearly breaking Matic's leg in two and kicking Ivan for no reason. Now he's calling out our Manager, I really hope the fans talk sh*t to him.

Ahhhh I forgot about Tony Gale, what a prick and he always seems to do the chelsea matches.
