Ten or eleven players the result would have been the same.We are way better than them all over the pitch.Kante was superb and Hazard a constant thorn in their side.....bring on the Spuds.

just totted up United had gone 32 games unbeaten - that's some run. Nice that it is book-ended by two defeats by Chelsea.

Credit to Jose where it is due I suppose ... 32 games unbeaten, including the 1-2 win at Hull and the 1-2 win at Fenerbahce ... :-)

If we have already won the league then lets play aina, kenedy, ake, michy and the rest for the rest of the game. What hogwash!!!

Listen mate, if you just want titles, fair enough. I do too to some extent. I still maintain that playing ake, zouma and NAT would not have hurt our chances for a qualification. I did not ask for kenedy to be started or aina or musonda. I wanted a proper attack as we simply dont have any replacements whatsoever. I wanted a mid of Kante/matic-Nat as i think he is more than an able replacement. Along with a defence of azpi-Zouma-JT-Ake-Alonso. Playing this team is hardly "disrespecting" the fans/throwing away the cup. If we had played this team, I feel we would still have gone through. So dont make it sound like I asked the U-19s to be played.

As for pool, their first team got beat by swansea at anfield. They have been dire for the past 2 and a half months. Dont make them out to be the benchmark.

Good thing we're paying Conte to implement what he wants. Not what you want.

They've lost to Hull in the League Cup and Saint Etienne in the Europa League though. Not really unbeaten. Plus there's been like 10 draws in that run so it's hardly a mind blowing run. There's a reason they've spent 100 days stuck in 6th position even though they shaved off a few points. But yes, they're better than they were earlier in the season.

Public forum, freedom of opinion.. last time I checked.

If everything has to be according to what Conte wants, then no point of a forum, is it?

Possibly you missed my irony ?

They did manage to beat St Etienne twice, but it was Fenerbahce they lost to ... as per my original post !

Haven't said you shouldn't state your opinion. I've even defended some c**t in this thread despite how far off Jose's arse he is. Public forum, freedom of opinion.

But back to the topic, you can't always have it your way. Games have been few and far between this season. No need to complain about game time for certain players. I'm sure they fully understand. I'd bet you Ake probably would have been benched by now. They've been on a terrible run since January and Ake probably would have been sat at some point out of desperation. Rather have him back us up here. If we make deep runs in all comps next season, we'll probably play 60 games give or take. If Ake gets around 20 games out of that, no one will complain. Let's not be so hasty to throw the youngsters in. I'd understand if Jose was the manager but Conte in his career hasn't shied away from playing youngsters (most obvious example being playing Pogba) so I'm sure he has a plan and he knows what he's doing.

So again, relax.

That went over my head. :laugh2:

You're correct.

So you wanted the ref to pick up a megaphone and announce his assessment to all 11 United players or what? Whose fault is it that Smalling didn't communicate this to the rest of his team mates? They clearly wanted to keep going with the dirty tactics. Besides, Herrera was only a few yards from the prior incident. Whether it was Herrera getting sent off or Valencia or Rojo, somebody in red deserved to see red. You can't stop whining about it now.

So the ref was going to alow Man Utd a timeout and stop Chelsea taking the freekick? Ok thend.

Get out of Jose's arse. You're clearly not reasoning properly. There's a reason the league rules allow captains to talk to the refs. There's a reason teams have captains. It's not Oliver's fault Smalling didn't tell the rest of his team mates (or didn't feel the need to tell them).

Sigh. Here you go again. What is wrong with you?

As a Chelsea fan, do you want the win or an "interesting" game? You keep going on about this being an interesting game without the sending off. Is that what you want to see? Our players getting hacked to pieces, an interesting game that we perhaps lose and a happy Mourinho who wins plaudits?

Tbh an interesting game is good to watch. It was over once the red card come out.

Be better to win 11 vs 11 in a very tactical tight affair than rely on a red card.

Good old BBC - our best player last night was apparently one who hasn't played for us for seven years:

The praise was raining down on Claude Makelele last night from ever conceivable angle. He was terrific, scoring the winner as Chelsea beat Manchester United while covering every blade of grass.

Your living in a dreamworld. To allow a player to tell all his team mates that anyone who tackles Hazard gets a yellow takes time. Even if thats was Oliver said its ineffective because only Smalling knew. How could Smalling tell his teammates before Chelsea took the freekick?

Herrera was right in front of Smalling. Go back and watch the footage again. Hardly as far away from Smalling as Rashford or Mhkitaryan.

Well hopefully Utd learn from that in future and don't try to kick a player off the park and get reduced to 10 men.

That was a typical Mourinho type display from utd last night. They are getting hard to beat but what did they offer going forward, even before they were reduced to 10 men? Utd fans will want to win, but a lot of them won't be happy with that sort of "football" being dished up too often. Absolutely dire and thankfully the team that tried to play some decent football last night got the reward.

Not complaining. Hence find it weird that people are asking me to "relax" or "chill".

If you go to the first page of this thread, you will find my ideal team, which apparently some people have understood as me raising the white flag. Just defending my opinion and thinking on why I would have started ake, zouma and Nat while keeping players like costa, willian, hazard, kante, alonso, azpi in the team

Everytime Fergie played Chelsea he use to play Park in midfield and have a 5 man midfield. The best managers do it to change tactics for individual matches. That's Wengers biggest problem he just has one way.

Doesn't mean he can hear in a noisy stadium or even concentrating on the people involved.

Yet he has a worse record against Chelsea than he did with any other team. Hardly worked like a charm, did it?

If he can hear his manager on the touchline, he can definitely hear Smalling who's on the pitch and only a few yards away from him. He's not f**king deaf. You're twisting yourself in a nut trying to defend Jose and United at every turn. You'd fit right in at RedCafe.

Doesn't mean it would of worked any other way. Plus I am talking about doing it against the best team in prem history. I remember Utd beat Chelsea at Old Trafford so must of worked sometimes.

COnsidering how much we dominated possession, shots and every other statistic, 1-0 flatters Man utd. It should have been 4 or 5, if we hadn't been so wasteful in front of goal.

Red card couldn't have happened to a more deserving prick. He is one of the worst I've ever seen for getting in the refs face and screaming at him after any decision he doesn't like.

I love it. You say it's not a red card and your up Mourinhos arse. There's no harm in having an opinion which doesn't always have to be biased and in Chelseas favour.

Costa spends alot of time finding out how long the grass is but me saying that doesn't mean I am up Mourinhos arse.
