Yeah Frank was hoping for a late flourish, but didnt bank on being 2-0 down before the hour, thanks to his keeper.

Lamps has had a good first season, but this game was one step too far. He needs more time and more experience.

Waghorn isn’t long back from injury to be fair so would have been a bit of a gamble. Surprised about Marriot though. Keepers had was poor for the first and shocking for the second. If Boyle had cut the ball back to Waghorn it woulda been 2-1 but he probably wanted to make up for letting El Gahzi get in behind him for the first.

Jesus man, why is he not cutting that back to Waghorn, that’s shocking.

Bennett was always gonna start, got the pace and energy to wear Villa down. Did it great against Leeds too.

Disappointing Mount and Abraham have made little impact.

There's a man sitting in front of me who keeps saying "f**k off Frank" every time the camera pans to him.

I really want to see his face if Derby can turn this around.

Looks like not. Good effort overall from Lamps and Derby. A learning experience

That Harry Wilson has got massive praise this year but he’s been honking today. Why is he floating that cross in. He should be whipping that in with pace. Mount has been anonymous as well today. Tomori has been solid.

Well done Villa, Tammy and JT. Commisurations to Derby, Frank, Tomori and Mount.

In the grand scheme of things you want big clubs like Villa in the top division.

Hard lines Lamps, really good season but just a step too far. When you win you get it right when you lose you have got it wrong. Sadly he got it wrong today.

Conflicting emotions around this. Happy for Tammy and JT but feel for Frank and co. Arguably the worst game to lose in football.

Don't think this really has any impact on whether he should be made our manager though. One season in management isn't enough. Give him some time. He will definitely manage us at some stage.

For me Villa is a big club back at the top, always trouble in the 80s & 90s when I went so it should prove to be an interesting day out when we play there next season.
