Vision 30. Was started under RA and taken up "enthusiasticly" by Clearlake. . Who have obviously cocked it up

""The project has five main targets.

- 15% of Premier League minutes to be from academy players

- 25% of the first-team squad to be from the academy

- To have above national average GCSE and A Level results

- To have more academy players in the professional game than any other academy

- To win more national and international competitions than any other academy

So far, ‘Vision 30’ has seen Chelsea's new owners dive into the transfer market and spend large transfer fees on unproven stars with high potential."

Think we should rebrand to Brighton upon Thames.

Nah, rebrand Brighton to Chelsea Lite.

Hopefully we are making sure not to break uefas rules again. 3 year uefa competition ban if we do.

I wonder where we would be now if we just didn't sign one of Mudryk, Disasi, Badiashile, or Washington, or a dozen of the other players we signed. Mudryk alone probably would have kept us out of trouble in the long run.

That has to be the worst transfer in our history. Cost a fortune, useless on the pitch, banned for being a drug cheat.

Or if they just bothered to get shirt sponsors for the last 2 years. That recoups the Mudryk fee alone.

Todays events with Jackson pretty much highlight the absolute folly of our transfer strategy. The club have told Jackson he's not wanted and agreed to sell him next summer and agree a big loan fee. Player and agent on a private jet to Munich. Its just chaotic and not really how I would expect the club to be run 3 years into new ownership.

there are massive issues regarding our transfer strategy. quite simply put, I dont know what it is.

Lets look at Garnacho, rumours about him started early this year from memory and wanted him in January... this makes him a long term target, possibly a Maresca ask. We sign Sancho, have an escape clause. We lose Mudyk to a drugs ban that is ongoing. We bring through George last season after Mudryk is banned. We then sign Gittens for 60 Million ahead of Garnacho and wait until near the end of the transfer window to sign him. We've started the season with Neto out on the left. If Maresca continues to pick Neto on the left we have effectively spent more than 100 million on two squad players. Estevao is our new right winger, possibly an understudy to Palmer who we know is world class (Ballon D'Or nominee in his first season with us) on the right wing. Maresca kills his momentum playing him Number 10 and plays Neto right wing last season with Madueke also playing on the right and occasionally left side. We have also bought and sold Felix in one season after a loan ended, forcing out a player in Gallagher who would run through walls for Chelsea and who had started to build a terrific understanding with Caicedo... His replacement KDH, is now at Everton and grabbed a goal and assist today, why move him on. We have Fernandez who has outlived five managers and just doesnt look comfortable playing from deep. Credit where its due goal and assit today but general consensus here is he is probably not agile enough for a combatative deep role for us... given everyone mentioned above, where does he play and what is his best position because after 3 years of trying, he still looks round peg square hole.

So, im struggling to see how the above works for us yet. We're throwing hundreds of millions at this and Im just not sure how many of the players weve signed are Maresca signings so is it his formation and tactics or is it the players not fitting them? Does the manager get a say in any of this or is he simply a coach? How can any manager work with the constant chopping of players form the squad.

We could have two injured strikers 3 games into the season. Cue panic at the club and holding up Jackson's transfer which would be good for the player and the club. Where and who do we turn to? Not to mention that, we still have big earners on our books in the bomb squad and we leave James on the bench. If the board back Maresca, they need to stop signing players and let him work things out and have a say in the signings... or he'll be out the door and the project continues to be a project and the board sign players on teh basis they have to keep making money.

I am looking at Manchester United and think they have a really similar scattergun approach to us in the transfer market and are happy to chop managers when the players cant or dont adapt.

The other side to this is what players are going to come to us, knowing they can be treated like cattle to the slaughter. Money is being spent for the sake of spending money, agents are getting fat from us, the squad is still imbalanced and we could be fined for not meeting financial requirements because the directors just cant stop signing players.

We have an American version of Del Boy and Rodney running the show... cant wait for the window to close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDea_Yu0NxM

This lack of a FOS sponsor situation is just mental. We have finished the 1st month of the season and it’s gone very quiet. Surely they are not going to go a 2nd season without one.

Who needs it anyway when we’re filthy rich?

For the third season in succession, Chelsea will start a Premier League campaign without a main shirt sponsor. The Blues, who were crowned world champions during the summer after reigning supreme at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, have not had a permanent long-term front-of-shirt partner since their agreement with mobile network Three ended .

+ George cover for LW and ST. We are ready!

Top 4, good run in CL and 1 trophy in FA or CC. Team gains experience and matures, ready for a PL title push and CL push next year.

We have elevated our attack this year and it would be unfair on our new attack not to have a year to bed in. Estevao, Delap, Joao, Garnacho, Santos, Essugo and Hato all deserve a year under their belt to settle their feet.

Next year however we go strong! I am extremely excited to see this team flourish 😁
