And according to what I’ve just read, the future stadium development is said to be the main issue. They both want to leave the current site, but disagree over the scale of the new development. And doesn’t this just strengthen Clearlake’s position?I don’t object to people chanting against the owners on the Fulham Road before going in to the game, but I look at years of United fans protesting (yellow and green scarves, a new club, even getting a televised game postponed), but the Glazers are still there and now Ineos have joined and made it even worse.I’m sure it’ll be pointed out I’m wrong and Boehly is selling up because people sang ‘they don’t care about us’ a bit last season. But I’m not convinced. All fair points. Walter's sale is obviously precipitated by his legal troubles in America, but unless Boehly is implicated in those too, I doubt he is selling out of solidarity. I would say even the original fall-out was largely created by fan protest over the handling of Pochettino, appointment of Maresca, sale of Gallagher, massive losses etc. It's not the same as what came after. Regarding the stadium, I've felt for a long time now that Clearlake don't think the business case for a new stadium actually adds up, and their goal is redevelopment. Any commentary about the stadium has been from the Boehly side of BlueCo, including Wyss's rant about no one taking initiative to begin the process. This does strengthen Clearlake's control, yes. It likely means the end of "BlueCo" as a consortium and Clearlake will own the entire entity. That alone is one small victory, consortiums never work to run football clubs. Bates and Abramovich lived and died by their decisions (perhaps too much so!) but the last 3 years have been hallmarked by too many people being involved in never taking responsibility. Clearlake might use this as an opportunity to raise fresh investment. Hopefully they kick Vivid Seats to the kerb. But there's nothing to stop them from continuing to drain the match-going fans dry.My comment was more a reminder that the alleged financial issues (as claimed by Kieran Maguire and other media 'experts') were far-fetched. Money is not a concern, power and reputation are the only thing that matters to this class.

It is not even a protest to be honest. You need to actually boycot the game especially those on live TV to bring about change. This will hit the owners in their pockets and attract public attention when the stadium is empty on live TV.

It's the public humiliation that works best in my opinion.90 minutes of half the stadium shouting "f**k off Eghbali" at the top of their voice on TV for a global audience ... you wouldn't what that embarrassment every week if you were an arrogant egotistical billionaire LOL.

They pulled a similarly unconvincing stunt with the ladies team when they sold some of it to Serena Williams and her husband ... Probably all planned, and Boehly is as complicit as Clearlake.
