3rd place imo is achievable. Stating ahead of City and Pool is not. Dont see those 2 dropping more than 7 points in the rest of the season.

As good as pool and city are, both with killer instinct style of play, there is no way that we should have that mindset of playing for top 4 and looking at other teams below the top 3s results. There are no more excuses for us not to be in the title race all season.

Cant be blaming lukaku for this game. Nor did he really get  much of a chance to settle in before getting injured, even if he wasn't carrying the injury into the season, and that wouldn't surprise me.

There are some incredible critics in this forum. No team's gunna win every game, go through the season undefeated, or have every result a kind of comic book wet dream.

To me its more interesting that Mount who was a fixture in the team for the past 12 months all of a sudden isn't starting.

If you include Lukaku yesterday we were missing  Chillwell, Lukaku, Havertz, Kovacic, Kante. Then Mount and Christansen are on the bench. That's a lot different team to what most would have imagined at the start of the season. And yet we were still largely dominant.

The festive season has just got in full swing, see if you still feel that way in February.

Mount is on the bench as he has come back from Euro 2021 as a shadow of the player he was before it.

Christensen is on the bench as Trev is playing better than him, simple as that.

Lukaku came to us injured. He has been carrying some sort of leg injury all season, why he missed some Belgium games as he has been trying to manage it and Still play.

Chilwell and Kante are huge misses. Former because he has been excellent, latter because he is Kante.

Honestly other than goals, there is really nothing to complain about our performance. We gave united nothing, other than Jorgi and Mendy brainfart, I can't remember United even gave us a scare.

Offensively we actually played well. We pressed very2 well so we stole the ball high again n again. I thought Ziyech and Werner work rate were brilliant. We also could easily move the ball in nice area, got so many opportunities, but we lacked a bit of precision.

The biggest concern like always are our forward. Werner, Ziyech and CHO. Noone who has watched us for the last two years will bet their money these players will score. If we got shooting chances, I am pretty sure we all prefer them to fall to either alonso or James not on our forward.

Too many base their opinions on just the result Bob.

I didn't want to make any comments yesterday as I was too frustrated. Now the emotions have settled and I think a draw was a fair result in the end.

Tuchel has mentioned something along the lines of a 'fantastic performance'. It was nowhere near that from my perspective. This was not Burnley where we created tons of clear cut chances but couldn't finish them off. Except for the first 20-ish minutes we were below average. And let's not forget the obvious problem this teams has, we would have never equalized if it wasn't for that penalty, which came out of nothing. We've also made too many individual errors in all areas of the pitch. The most obvious one, apart from the goal we conceded, was Mendy's pass to Fred. That was his third misplaced pass and literally a goal given away. We got lucky because it was Fred and not Ronaldo or Fernandes.

Their midfield trio of Fred - Mctominay - Matic did a fantastic job defensively. Jorgi and Ruben Obi Mikel were a little sluggish and couldn't cope with them. Just shows how important are Kante and Kovacic to us. Maybe Saul should've got the chance instead, at least at half time with 0-0 and neither Jorgi nor Ruben in gear.

As for the attackers, I think we've said pretty much everything. Toothless, ineffective, clumsy, call it whatever you want. Thomas has picked the wrong front three, and along with subs coming on at least 15 minutes too late, we couldn't count on a win although there were chances. Overall, we were the better team, but the lack of concentration in the final third is what cost us two points.

Premier League is a marathon, not a sprint. We are still top and there are two thirds of the season left. Liverpool will drop points, City will drop points, it's inevitable. Their players are not superhumans. The most important thing for us right now is to beat Watford and not to think about other teams.

Did anyone notice if David De Gae made it up from his deck chair ok? He is getting on a bit so was a risk move pulling that out, though not like he had anything else to do besides pick out the pen and Stand up so CHO could pass him the ball.
