This could very well be Dave's send off season. I hope TT finds a way to make us competitive in the CL. We just need to hope someone else knocks out Pool, City and PSG 👍

If Dave left the club with more three trophies if we win against liverpool it's not bad

He deserves more than not bad imo. Since the league title is a no go, this is where we need to be extra special.

at least we can fight for the title cuz in 2012 we exit to europa league in group stage

Lille haven't been good in the French League this season but they have some dangerous players. Ideally we could do with winning by a couple of goals or more at home. We don't know how many players will miss out on the away league due to the vaccination rules, and the away goal rule has been scrapped.  So the home match becomes even more important I think.

Play like that against them and they will wipe the floor with us, nevermind what pool would do.

After this it's the cup final against Liverpool so 2 big games ahead. I simply can't see us winning both given how we have been playing against Palace and Palmeiras...

Lille I don't see wasting 3 glorious chances like Zaha and Olise did. Likely we would lose.

Far as pool go we play like that nevermind losing we would get humiliated. We need yo wake up and step up soon or we will soon find our season totally in the crapper.

The problem is that Liverpool despite not even being that amazing manages to find goals anyway, even if we play a tight match they can still score 2 goals in the span of 5 minutes at any given time and just get the job done.

Exactly so if we play like this against them it would be a massacre.

 

As for Lille how do you pick a starting 11 when so many players have been poor? Hopefully Dave and CHO are back.

Not saying I want Rom to play, just facing facing fact he will keep doing so.

The team has problems of all sorts and has only been half rebuilt. Arguably we should have carried on with Werner and spent the Lukaku money in the midfield and defence but its easy to be wise after the event. No one could really have predicted the Chilwell and James injuries simultaneously although james seems very injury prone.

Also various players are in my opinion carrying performance impacting injuries including Jorginho and probably Christensen

Still its always only one game at a time and Tuchel generally does a great job at cup teams. We may not score many goals but we are a hard team to beat.

Have to play alonso (carrying an injury) and Dave, have to play Kova and Kante and hope they can all play 3 games in a week.

I just don't know about the front players. Werner has had so little playing time.

We also don't know whether Azpilicueta, Hudson-Odoi or Mount will have recovered in time. It may end up being similar to the Palace game where we have to start whatever random 11 players we can actually get onto a football pitch.

This is the home leg, we can start who we want.
