The constant changing of personnel and formation isn't allowing anyone to work within a secure framework. I know we have a long list of injuries but surely this should change Potters approach. Stop changing the lineup so much. Wholesale changes prevent a pattern of play from crystallising. I didn't want Potter from the first but was prepared to give him a chance. How ever you dress it up its not going well and from what I can see there's no sign of potential for a positive change. I don't know who the bloke in his ear on the sideline is but he looks like a panic merchant. I can't see this ending well. It's been a very bad day and I'm really upset by todays performance. If Kante, James, Chilwell and Fofana were all available the narrative would probably be different so I'll give Potter bit more time. We'll see how the new regime deal with this but I suspect they're not much different to the last one and they may well be tempted if any decent managers become available during the World Cup . I agree with you Andy although I think we do hanker after players that are not available to justify the sh*t that is being dished up. Reece James I agree has consistently provided good performances until his injury. Fofana is all about potential at the moment and I have seen nothing from him standing out from the rest. Kante, love him to bits, hall of famer, but cannot be relied upon and is often played in roles now that open up his weaknesses and not his strengths. Chilwell, sim8larly has ability. I think he is a little over hyped but more importantly always seems to be breaking down with something.
November 13, 20223 yr I just watched the highlights... Newcastle dominated, their goal was a bit fortunate but it looked like we were a bit unlucky right at the end not to get one back. Kante, Reece James, Rudiger, Alonso, Drogba, Hazard, Lampard, Terry, Zola, Makelele, Robben ... We need a few great players back in if we're going to compete.

I'm afraid we have to support the boys in blue through the ups and downs. Your choice mate and that's fair enough. But if we all turned our backs on them we would be playing in an empty stamford bridge and no support away from home. We need to support them more in the tough times and those of us old uns these times ain't that tough....

When I used to go to games years ago and we lost games to the likes of Scarboro and Oxford and York City, of course I was pissed off, but that was what you got used to supporting Chelsea. That we could beat man Utd, or knock Liverpool out of the FA Cup only to get beaten by some lower league team. But the last 20 years has got supporters out of that kinda mindset. Speaking for myself, I like to think I'm not one of those supporters with a sense of entitlement. I don't expevt us to win trophies every season. But I do expect a level of performance and for us to compete. These last couple of weeks and the Arsenal game in particular where we just didn't turn up are not good enough - nowhere near, and THAT has to change.

Back in the day when we were challenging for relegation to the 3rd division and when only 10,000 of us showed up, that was tough!

I remember 0-0 boxing day against Bristol City. 14,000 of us freezing our t*ts off in the frozen tundra that was SB back then. The Shed was bloody freezing that day and the football was absolutely shocking
