Newcastle v Chelsea (PL) Sat 12th Nov 2022 17:30 GMT

Gone from looking like we can compete with anyone, to playing for a draw at Newcastle.

Hard to watch this tbh.

We have seen this game at the bridge many times over the year, mid table club comes and parks the bus with no attacking intention, and then it takes a moment of magic to break the deadlock.

Now we are the midtable team, and this our gameplan.

We lost Rudiger, Alonso, Christensen and were about to lose Dave as well. Only to get replacements for them in an injury prone Koulibaly, injured Fofana and Cucurella. Everything we did was just replacing a few and getting some new players, no real improvements.

Now you would think that replacing Werner with Sterling was a great plan but in practice it's just all mixed results. Can't help to feel that the club is missing someone with a clear vision of how to improve the squad.

Could do a lot worse than re-hire Claudio Ranieri in some capacity ... he built great teams at Valencia and Chelsea !

Bollocks. Who is asking him to wave a magic wand? All I want to see is something, anything that stops us playing like the worst team in the league. Is this what you expected when he took over, for us to be playing as bad as a relegation team? f**king hell, when Tuchel was in charge, everybody was demanding top 4, now we have Potter and it's like some fans will allow him to take us outside of the top 10 playing the worst football and being dominated by every team just to make a point. It's not entitled, fickle or impatient to expect better than this, have some standards.

Christ. You spent the last few months of Tuchel's reign banging on about how pissed off you were about how weak our player's were physically and particularly mentally. I have had enough you said. Now suddenly it's not the players, it's the manager's fault. Make your f**kin mind up will ya.

Dear Santa,

I’ve been a very well behaved and patient Chelsea fan this year, all I want for Christmas is

- an owner who understands he and his minted pals bought a football club not a baseball club

- a manager that can organize and motivate a team

- new players in January that know how to play football

- another EPL win before next season

- a top 10 finish

(not too much to ask really)

Thank You !!

Couldn’t press..couldn’t stick two passes together.. had no idea on how to deal with the press.. have fry or gotten how to score.. there is dire and then there is this..

we absolutely deserved it.. we sacked TT at absolutely the wrong time., boehly the arrogant prick., signed the flavour of the season and now we are the laughing stock of the league..

Mendy has probably had more touches than Broja.

I actually think we owe all strikers who’ve played for us over recent years an apology and I’ve slaughtered most of them. Playing up front for us must be the most isolating and soul destroying position in football. The service is absolutely f**king dire - our football is so incredibly turgid.

It's obvious this season would be a total disaster. the question is if owners decide to persist with Potter next season.  the only thing can save Potter's reputation is winning Champions League, which is unlikely.

Without James and Chillwell, the team has no sense of delivery what soever.

Potter post game interview: “We were in the game right to the very end….we could have been 10 down but the boys did brilliantly to keep in to 1. Newcastle are so far ahead of us…its where we want to be. Im just happy for the effort that we put in.”
