Some time on the pitch for the players not at the WC and injured players returning, will give us chance to see if Potter is actually the one to turn this around. 

Hopefully he is, I was excited by the prospect of what he could bring, now however I’m losing a little faith.

when did we last score from open play in the PL - was it Havertz's header in the 4-1 thrashing at Brighton?

It can be both, and in some cases it is, but when we are playing like a f**king relegation team, then the coaching is even more woeful. What the f**k is Potter doing on the sidelines? How doesn't he react angrily at the players when he constantly watches them play the ball back to Mendy. Clapping like a f**king moron when we attempt some sh*tty long ball forward that is cut out by the defender and then coming out after the game saying we tried our hardest. f**k off. His tactics are sh*te and the team he left is no worse without him.

agree. he looks unconvincing on the touchline. sometimes players need to hear they're playing like sh*t - he doesn't look like he's in charge, he looks out of his depth

At least we are surely now finally spared the nonsense idea that the Jorginho/Kovacic pairing is the best thing since someone decided women, bikinis and mud go well together.

I really dont think it matters who we play there right now. No one knows what they are doing...

Even if we overpay slightly we have to do something with that midfield in January.

We haven’t bought a midfielder for 4 seasons, the chances of these same players waking up one morning and turning into midfielders who can create for our forwards is zero.

We look so lost at the moment.

I can only hope getting our injured players back can make a difference to us.

We’ve had players looking like they only care about not getting injured and missing the World Cup.

Hopefully our options should look a lot better by Boxing Day.

Yes, that team he " just left" are still very good without him .

And that is the team he moulded from the garbage of Chris Hughton's awful style Brighton.. He didn't do it in a couple of months mind you. 

The sad reality is we were toothless under Tuchel and we're still toothless under Potter. We either have a huge clear out and get in some players in that show some gunction or we settle in to our new mid-table existence. Too many of these players are stale.

I'm looking forward to the World Cup, It'll be a nice antidote to the drivel we are playing.

We gain nothing from getting rid of Potter.

That pairing has done good things for us by all means, just that this time around we have no real style of play regardless of who's actually on the pitch.

Right now we lose against any team that is considered to be fighting for the top 4 and Newcastle is one of them. Guimarães is better than all of our midfielders put together, Almiron compared to our attackers looks like Messi.

Yeah that’s the issue. Talking about the players is moot. The idea that this new regime somehow proves the players’ worth is just confirmation bias. We still won the CL with them.. changing the players won’t change a thing. It’s top down rot, starting with the new owners.  Am surprised more people don’t see it.
