Enzo Fernandez - not wanted in England, the Falklands or probably Argentina now

Not relevant to the discussion. My issue with your posts are you are trying to paint all Argentinians as awful thugs, and all english fans are wonderful lovely people who are no longer like they were in the 80s and never hurt anyone.

If you want me to say what I think of the Argentinian FA, their politicians, media etc. then we will be on the same page. But that wasn't your point I had a problem with.

My point is that the scummy mentality is engrained in the culture. It shows through their FA, through their fans, through their media, through their politicians and through their players. Its absolutely relevant, you just want some whatabboutery because 2000 fans got into a stadium 6 years ago and were rightly demonised by everyone in the UK.

Sour grapes? Why would we have sour grapes? The falklands are ours and their grandparents showed their cowardice within 2 months. Much like their players showed their cowardice against Spain.

I wouldn't call anyone who served during a war a "coward" whether or not they were on the losing or winning side mate. .

Yes it has. You get slapped with a FBO for the smallest of things in England.

Yes

Yes

The amount of banning orders might be because we still have a hooligan problem mate. Yes it's not as bad as it was in the past, but you don't get a banning order for " the smallest of things"

Not sure you can count surrending after 70 days a war, more like a prolonged holiday with free return.

You quite literally get a football banning order for nothing. I know someone that got one for throwing a bottle.

so what reasons are there for Argentina to claim ownership., other than its nearby?

Thatcher sent Nicholas Ridley off to negotiate a transfer of sovereignty to Argentina of the Falklands a couple of years before the invasion. If that murderous Argentinian right wing junta hadn't invaded, there's a good chance they would have gained sovereignty with us leasing the Falklands from them

"1979: Nicholas Ridley, Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office responsible for the Falkand Islands, visits the Islands and suggests a leaseback proposal, with sovereignty transferred to Argentina and the islands leased back to the UK, and under UK control, for a fixed term (probably around 100 years). The Islanders reject the idea.

April 1980: Talks between the UK and Argentinian governments in New York. No progress is made.

September 1980: Nicholas Ridley holds secret meetings with the Argentinian Deputy Foreign Minister. They agree to the leaseback proposal (as suggested to the Islanders in July 1979), with a 99 year term.

July 1980: Following on from the Labour consultation document, the Conservative government releases a white paper setting out proposed changes to nationality law.

November 1980: Nicholas Ridley travels to the Falkland Islands to put the leaseback proposal to the Islanders. He reportedly loses his temper at a meeting and tells Islanders that they will be to blame for the consequences."

October 1981: The British Nationality Act 1981 receives Royal Assent. The act removes British citizenship from most Falkland Islanders, removing their right to live in the UK.

I don't envy your holidays mate if it's the same as spending it in in a freezing trench!

Banning orders ?! Shush! You've got to maintain the fiction that banning orders meant that millions of the hardest English hooligan nutters couldn't get to Marseille and led to thousand of us being bashed up by a dozen Russians in Marseille. . Actually I read a while back that a fan got a banning order for throwing a sweet on the pitch , bit harsh and you're right sometimes it's for minor nonsense.

Anyway Come on you BLUES!

I think he could end up at City.

Rodri to Madrid, Camavinga to Utd, Enzo to City.

0% chance! Fans keep forgetting Maresca said he moved him further upfield because we lacked physicality and balance in the middle. Why would he now sign him to play that role at City?

City want to replace Rodri with Bouaddi

Not sure that Simon would dismiss it though
