Yikes.. those wages are ridiculous. Think they might want to bin one of him or Tchouameni this summer though, can’t see the pair coexisting in the same dressing room after their publicised punch up.

I get the celebration that he will probably be sold but he wants to leave and I suspect many others do too. If average players are saying your project is sh*te, you are sh*te then that is far more worrying than having Enzo here for another season.

You've actually touched on something I've been recommending since last summer. I think the captain should be Colwill.

James leads by example, whereas Colwill is much more vocal and an organizer in defence. As you've touched on, he will always be available too (knock on wood). It doesn't really matter at the end of the day so long as one of them is captain and the other vice.

The club will make Caicedo vice with Enzo gone.

I agree. Totally. Colwill is more captain like. Reece is a very solid player, though not an obvious leader. I mean I feel Enzo got the job as he was the only player we had at that time who was even remotely 'grown up'.

Colwill was leading the defence brilliantly just before his injury, he had really stepped up to take control and showed just how good a captain he could be.

Timing is poor though, I would prefer hes allowed time to get back into the groove and full match fitness/sharpness without the captaincy for a while, I expect he will lead anyway.
