That’s between him and the governing body who banned him surely, we are the third party in this. The club have the ability to fine players who turn up late for training etc maybe they could have paid him till his appeal failed then claimed those wages back in fines if they felt that was the way to go.

To be docked wages for being late but get paid while banned for drug taking seems like nonsense to me.

We don't know the ins and outs. There may well be financial repercussions. The ban was only implemented a week or so ago. Waste of time speculating.

Thanks for the update. I suspect they are only keeping him on the payroll now because they hope that there is a chance they could still recoup some money on him after the ban. If they had cut him loose they would have accepted a full loss on the deal.

Capology 🤣🤣🤣 funny guy, let me post a Wikipedia link next

lol. So, you are saying that he was not getting a salary from CFC OR he was donating his money to "charity"?

I am not sure why you are so invested in Mudryck. He was never that great as a player for us. He knowingly took performance enhancing drugs and yet we saw no enhanced performances.

If banned its very likely they'd be fining him his wages. They get fined for turning up to training late lol Capology very funny source

Why on earth is he still a Chelsea player?

Should have been sacked as soon as the news broke out. Should have done something to claw some of the money back.

He is a really sh*t player. I might have tolerated him if he got his head down and worked hard but no, he did drugs and played counter strike instead…

You mean as soon as he tested positive? So screw the judiciary process?

Accounts showed Mudryk received a revised contract following his last competitive match back in November of 2024.

So it's safe to assume the club have docked his wages amid this doping scandal.

The club can sack him but unlike Mutu, PSR rules mean the club would need to eat the entire value of his contract in a single season.

It would take years for any compensation to be decided by a court or DRC, meaning it would still have little affect on the accounts, and these days any compensation would be minimal at best.

Lol I get you hate the kid for some reason, but why lie? There's no evidence Mudryk took anything knowingly, he hasn't even been charged with that, and calling meldonium a "performance enhancing drug" isn't true either.

He's just a miserable southerner shouting at clouds, try not to pay too much attention.

Illegal substances found in his blood/ piss/ whatever, shouldnt have been there, he is a drugs cheat and tried to cheat the club and us fans with his actions. Its cost the club a fortune. He is a drugs cheat and sh*t footballer.

I don’t know if he took anything knowingly or how much a performance enhancer the substance was but either way he is unable to perform the duties he’s paid for so should be suspended without pay until the ban is over.

The club may feel whatever happened wasn’t his fault but we all know Blueco are not protecting or standing by their employee rather than hoping to recoup some of their investment which you can also understand in the current climate.

Loan him after his ban and see if he can prove himself better than we have(not hard but MM was pretty sh*t before the ban) or see if someone will buy him. That’s got to be the plan.

We don't know that for a fact. It's just speculation. No need for the pearl-clutching. The only thing he did to the club was to be a bit sh*t at football, but there's 10 or so other blokes in the same boat there. Mudryk didn't cost the club anything more than the idiot brigade above decided to pay him.

The morality police can already have their fill with his driving record and his xenophobia. The club won't sack him for that though, because the last bloke who did something similar got promoted to vice-captain and is touted as a role model.

While a club legend called an opponent a "black c**t".

Did he?

Not according to anybody on the pitch other than Anton Ferdinand.

Not according to the law.

To this day JT has refused to entertain AF and his attempt to reconcile because he lied.

AF who then called Ashley Cole a ‘choc ice’ after Cole said JT didn’t say it. He was quoted in the paper saying that racist remark and nothing was done to him.

Racism is horrible as are false accusations.

falls on my deaf ears, He was found with a banned substance in him. His duty as a player is to be in top physical condition (without juicing) and not to be caught with banned substances in his body. Lance Armstrong wasnt a cheat until he was caught cheating; all the sprinters before Mudryk were not cheats until they were caught cheating, no one has ever knowingly taken something that would enhance performance or recovery. Dont buy it, get him out the club even if he's cleared. Absolute disaster singing and bang average footballer and he simply should not have put the club and us fans in the position he has. Bloody clown.

Meh, hate is a strong word. I dislike a player who costs a small fortune and turns out to be not very good at football and on top of that knowingly takes drugs - you don't take drugs by "accident" at this level. meldonium is considered to be performance enhancing that is why it is banned no? it certainly did not work as a performance enhancing for Mudryck.

Meldonium is considered a performance-enhancing drug and has been banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) since January 1, 2016, due to its potential to improve athletic performance. That is the rule. Is that not true?

It really isn't hard to do the slightest bit of research on the drug.

Exactly. Yes, and you will find out that it is a banned substance. Players that take the substance will then be banned. I am glad that you were finally able to follow the logic. Good for you kiddo.

Like even the slightest bit of research and you won’t look so dim. Please, for everyone’s sake. We don’t expect much from you, just the bare minimum.

Players that take Meldonium are banned. That is the reality.

Mudryck took Meldonium. Mudryck got banned.
