So likely means Veiga and Tosin in for the suspended duo. Rest stays the same I reckon.

If Colwill is injured we may as well save the rest of the A team for our Greece trip and accept what is coming at anfield. Just 2 goals let in by them so far.

Cause Badiashile and Tosin vs Diaz and Salah wont be pretty.

Tosin will be fine, strong arguments for him to be starting ahead of Fofana anyway. Badiashile on the other hand… 

Massive game for Veiga, could end up defining him. 

Probably not a bad time to play Liverpool, getting into 2nd gear again after the international break will effect us both; might work in our favour.

Veiga is young, I don't expect him to match Cucurellas ability to deal with Salah.

Though to be fair are not Noni and Sancho both hard workers in their defensive duties? So they should be able to help out Veiga and Disasi.

Do Pool still play a high line or has Slot removed that? Their 2 goals conceded from 7 games suggests he has but have not seen them to know.

So far you could say they are even better defensively than under Klopp.

I will happily take a draw there, because despite what form are we in, we just can’t win there.

Klopp seemed to have them be more offensive in his last two years, they were not that strong on defence, played a very high line.

Either Enzo gets dropped or we do that midfield 3 again like we saw against City. One way or another, Lavia has to play imo. 

Allison is out, not sure about Kelleher, and Liverpool always start slow after the international break so we are facing them at a good time. Biggest worry is their midfield and how they will 1000% out work us so we will need either more bodies there or have Lavia partner Caicedo. 

 

Fofana isn’t that much of a loss as from what Tosin has shown he’s at least as capable.

Cucurella is a huge loss however, probably the second name on the team sheet after Palmer. Veiga has shown promise but I do think Salah would tear him a new one, probably get him sent off in the first 30.

Lavia won’t have the match fitness to start but our best bet is to stack that minefield and try stopping the ball getting through.

That's exactly what Forest did. 

Just seen Konate and VVD do indeed have the best aerial win % in the league so Tosin + Veiga definitely a blessing in disguise.

Wouldn't make a blind bit of difference with our set-piece defending. If they were in the team as well Cucurella and Enzo would be tasked with picking up Konate and VVD!

I do get that I am a broken record - but genuinely cannot understand why some are advocating for Jackson to start again over Chris? He was awful against Forest and Brighton.

My obvious bias aside, there is no way that on form and output on the pitch, that he should start over Chris.

I dont understand why Enzo and Cucu pick up the oppositions tallest most dangerous players. It was happening under poch as well, so assume it is a tactic - but I dont know what it is.....

Were we not facing the tallest team in the league in Forrest? I mean before that match we only conceded once from a set piece all season and this is with Enzo and Cucurella in the team. I'd say we've improved in that regard. 

I can only see it getting better with Tosin, Veiga, and Lavia included in the side. 

I know Wood and Melinkovic are both well over 6 foot but yeah the rest of Forest in pretty average in height. But does it matter how tall the players are if they switch off and just ball watch like we do sometimes.

Bottom line, improvement is needed and sooner not later. @BernardoCueva

But how many times has that happened this season? Only twice from my recollection. I’ve been fairly impressed with our improvement in defending set pieces & second balls (in the league).
