Tommy Tuchel - England Manager

I'll be honest, if Palmer and Rogers are fit i just don't see why Bellingham should get in the team behind the striker.

Rice, Anderson, Wharton should all be ahead of him deeper too.

tbh, id have rice- bellingham- and Anderson deeper. He. is a tremendous player and pops up with big goals. Wharton is good but Bellingham is ahead of him for sure.

Bellingham is too lax as an 8 and not as good as the others as a 10.

Expecting Tuchel to get England to a World Cup Final let alone win it , is a big ask considering it's only ever been once before.

I've never subscribed to the reasoning that it's only a series of inept and useless managers , that have prevented England from ever being a power in World and European football over the decades. We've had decent, and good teams but never good enough.

Maybe this time ? No doubt Trump would take the credit anyway !!

Haha he's called up Jason Steele to his provisional squad. A move so surprising that my initial reaction was 'wait is there another Jason Steele?'

Well, he's called up 390 players, someone had to make up the numbers. Maguire? FFS.

Livramento? There are probably multiple layers of Cobham graduates in that spot before Alexander-Arnold gets a go. What's Tariq Lamptey up to?

Currently enjoying himself with Fiorentina, just up the road from me.

Still no room for TAA ... LOL

No Curtis Jones or Joe Gomez, no bin dippers in last four friendly squads and with the prospect of England going to the world Cup without any Liverpool players apparently would be first time for 40 years. Nice.

Shouldnt have booed the national anthem.

Tuchel isn’t taking 3 10s to the WC but sends out 3 v Japan. Everyone getting in each other’s way. Japan showing them how it’s done.

Im glad Japan arent in our group.

The advantage of this is there is an increased chance Palmer gets a much needed rest this summer!

He’ll take Palmer. Foden won’t go.

Palmer is actually a worry man. He was at fault for the goal. None of the England players tonight can cover themselves in glory but for someone who is considered the headline name in that team, you expect a bit more, considering his place in the squad is not guaranteed. He has been fit for a while too but still yet to show his true outstanding quality. Also huge conundrum as to where to fit him in. When he plays out wide for us, his lack of pace has been a huge problem recently. Lacks the guile and quick instinct he used to have.

I don't think he is considered a headline name. Maybe Chelsea fans think he is but I doubt fans of other clubs do. Rogers probably ahead of him as no 10 option for England now.

In all honesty you'd be wondering about taking either of them at the moment but I do agree that it is mostly likely Palmer will be preferred to Foden

TT has favorites. Palmer is one.

Rogers has been poor tonight. They all have. Anderson’s first half was good but faded. Fielded a bits and pieces team and it showed.
