Tommy Tuchel - England Manager

Featured Replies

It’s only been 4 games.

I’m calm and really excited for the World Cup next year. Once the players get an idea of how Tuchel wants them to play, we’ll be brilliant. It’s a lot easier to get your ideas across in club football, it’ll be challenge but I’m sure we’ll see the best of Tuchel next year.

I’m so glad Southgate is gone, no more playing for penalties from 1st minute.

I agree.

Some of the journo's who are clearly mates with Southgate going OTT after the defeat last night.

Okay, it was poor, but what do you expect when he put out experimental side in a meaningless end of season friendly when all the players would rather be on the beach?

Tuchel will need to end the careers of a few of the older players though and I would include Kane in that. Still scores goals but he's slow and offers very little other than the odd tap-in.

He came out today and said the players didnt look up for it....if he cant get an England team up for a game after 4 games then thats a major problem.

As per his time at chelsea hes pissing players off with his weird decisions, drags Toney over to play 3 minutes, includes Henderson in the squad for some utterly ridiculous reason and picks him over 2 or 3 young players who have been superb this season.

I can't wait for the World Cup 😄

Good old TT. Reading between the lines, he's come out said what we all think about Bellingham. Decent player but terrible attitude.

Even TT's mum doesn't like him!

Bizarre selections across the board. Walker at RB? Struggled at Milan on loan to the extent that they're sending him back to City. Obviously culpable for the first goal. Just don't see any logic to his selections.

I think I get the Walker pick, as it gives Tuchel a chance to see him up close, since he's not been playing in the EPL, and to evaluate his current level. Can he still do it for England? Apparently not. He's done.

He's always going to experiment in meaningless friendlies and try and rest players who have played a lot of football.

No doubt he will get us playing better football than Southgate's negative, risk free football, but he will need to make some tough decisions quickly and not have too many performances like the other night, otherwise he will lose the supporters and have the Journo's on his case (what's German for Turnip?!!)

But you don't associate Tuchel with negative, risk free football?

I doubt that, it's how Tuchel has his teams setup, risk free, dominate possession, overload defensively.

I disagree. Think TT is a good (great) enough coach to play horses for courses. Don't think any other coach could have beaten Pep's City in the CL Final. We had no right to win CL that year but TT got it tactically spot on and of course, he will play defensively when your player options and opponents call for it.

But I think with England, with the quality he has available, he will get us playing a whole lot better than Southgate did. When it comes to the crunch, he will have the balls to play the best players and in their correct positions, so you won't see an in-form player like Palmer on the bench.

Time will tell, and he will have a decision to make on Kane, but I think he's the right man for the job (Eddie Howe being my favoured option but he wasn't being prised away from the bar-codes).

No Trev is surprising. Full squad:

Glad to see Palmer's not included, allows him to focus on his recovery without any distractions.

No Chalobah which is strange.

A player that constantly needs to prove himself for some reason.

Also, f**king Rashford and Henderson. I'm so sick of seeing them.
