We won't make top 8.

We won't finish outside of the playoff spots.

They are not very good, unlike Napoli.

No reason to add minutes to tired/player play on injury.

Pathos ? Is this some weird iterative Canadian geography at work ?

Pafos Paphos Pathos !

Or perhaps simply a deliberate pun to express the sadness and pity party of following Chelsea in the BlueCo era ! LOL

3-1 Chelsea anyway ... (Estevao, Delap, Fernandez)

I was wondering if it was some sort of homage to the three musketeers as Rosenior has come from the French league. Presumably JT would be Aramis (!) and of course Eghbali takes the prize for Porthos.

Pafos Football Club (Greek: Πάφος F.C.) is a professional football club based in Paphos, Cyprus.

Founded on 10 June 2014 following the merger of AEP Paphos and AEK Kouklia.

The club represents the wider Paphos region in the Cypriot First Division.

Pafos play home matches at the Stelio Kyriakides Stadium which has a capacity of 9,394, though their European home matches are played at the Alphamega Stadium. (This has a capacity of 10,830.) due to the former stadium falling short of UEFA standards.

Yes. We are almost certainly in the playoffs now. A win this week would likely mean we finish in the top half of the playoff teams and might ensure a slightly more favorable tie, but it will come down to a bit of luck too. as there are some difficult potential matchups in the playoff teams too. Of the upcoming games I would definitely give lower priority to the 2 remaining group matches.

Been offered a free hospitality ticket to this but I really just don’t want to go.

There are lots of resale tickets on the club website as well. Looks like many people aren't interested in this match or have lost interest with the club's direction. Or it was a wrong idea for the club to sell champions league tickets as bundles. It seems people bought the bundles because of the Barca game. There is going to plently of empty seats unless they reduce the asking price or sell them to the general public.

It is as near a dead rubber of a game as we will likely have between now and the end of the season. Even if we win both our remaining group games we will likely miss out on the top 8, and even if we lose both we will almost certainly make the play off.

This is what it took last season :

  • 16 points made it into the Top 8 (and 8th placed team after 6 rounds this season is on one point less than it was last season)

  • 11 points made it into the Top 24

Beat Pafos and we secure Top 24, and we might yet make Top 8 if we can then also beat Napoli.

Don't understand the negativity on here. We can make top eight with some favourable results and two victories. It may go down to goals scored so we need to bash this lot.

Rosenior needs to reach for his very best Fender Stratocaster with Mega Marshall Amps tonight!

And crank em up to 11

Wel for those who say we have a shot at top 8 we need Spurs vs Dortmund to end in a draw and Arsenal to beat Inter.

Any win tomorrow and we'll move above Manchester City on goal difference.

We are part of a group trying to take advantage of any of the current top 8 dropping down.

Arsenal, Bayern, PSG and Real will, for sure, get 4 of those 8 spots.

We need the likes of City (already done so) Atalanta, Inter and Atletico to blow their last 2 games, win both ours will Spurs, Newcastle, Napoli, Dortmund etc also drop points.

Yep, but it has to start with a win against Pafos, and preferably with a glut of goals as well to boost the goal difference. If we can do that, then all to play for !

Thanks for sharing this. Based on current standings I think our current total of points will be enough for top 24. We will have a better idea after tomorrow's games and I agree there is a decent chance that 16 points will be enough for top 8. Lets see where we are at after tomorrow's game first. Of course, if we are in contention we should be putting out our best team against Napoli and that may impact our lineups in the next 2 Premier games.

Ah so you are saying our Pathos to the top 8 means a handsome win over Pafos?

I see what you did there ...

HARD TO PREDICT THE YES MANS LINEUP, WILL HE HAVE ANY SAY IN IT?

ESTEVAO SUPPOSEDLY HAD THE DREADED VIRUS SO HE COULDNT PLAY AGAINST BRENTFORD YET HERE HE IS FIT AND RARING TO GO (MEDICAL MIRACLE) NOW ENZO HAS IT (APPARENTLY)

JORGENSON

JOSH FORFANA BADIESHILLE HATO

SANTOS CAICEDO

ESTEVAO PEDRO NETO

DELAP

LOOKING AT THE TABLE, IF RESULTS GO TO FORM THEN WE WILL BE 10TH (IF WE WIN) AFTER TONIGHT, ABOVE City and SPORTING ON G/D, ALTHOUGH BARCELONA COULD WIN BIG TONIGHT (A WIN OF 2 OR MORE, BIGGER THEN US MEANS THEY WILL BE ABOVE US)

WE WILL FINISH ABOVE EITHER PSG OR NEWCASTLE (AS THEY PLAY EACH OTHER IN LAST GAME), OR BOTH IF ITS A DRAW, IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL COME DOWN TO G/D EVEN IF WE WIN BOTH GAMES (WHICH IS DOUBTFUL), MY GUESS IS WE WILL FAIL TO MAKE THE TOP 8
