£52,000,000.

Which could’ve got you approximately 156,000,000 Freddo’s at current market price of which the consumption and subsequent Type 2 Diabetes would be infinitely more enjoyable than watching Jamie Jermaine Bynoe Gittens play Association Football for Chelsea.

This made me laugh out loud. And made me cast my mind to Easter eggs.

So we not only have to beat Napoli away, we have to score a hatful of goals as well?

Maresca really screwed us over, didn’t he?

We wouldn’t even be in that comp without Maresca! Who last got us into the Champions League before him…. Our last elite manager, 3 years before, still within Romans ownership.

We're in that comp because of the players. And an all-time choke by Aston Villa and Newcastle. In other words, a whole bunch of things worked in our favour. Maresca is as much the reason we nearly missed on the CL, as he was responsible for qualifying for CL

Come one man, we got in because others completely f**ked up and we dragged our sorry arses into the top 4 despite that useless f**ker, not becuaae of him.

Feeling a little under the weather last night so went to bed to watch the game but having dosed myself up with Nightnurse I fell asleep early in second half.

To be fair, the game was that boring, I didn't need the Nightnurse to fall asleep.........................

But I bet she was more fun

There a thing now in tv and film where they are written and created for ‘2nd viewing’. Basically kids need the plot spelled out every 5 minutes because they spend the whole movie on their phone. One of the reasons most movies are boring dross nowadays.

I believe we play football for second viewing as I find myself looking at my phone more than the boring football on the screen now a days

I think that boring is becoming THE word now to describe football in general - not just CFC.

Like you, when games are on, I find myself distracted, as the games are so dull. When I was watching last night (before nodding off), so many modern players are very limited. We only seem to have Palmer and Estevao who can beat opponents with skill. The rest just pass, pass, pass. It's one thing having a player like Gullit or Hoddle or Fabregas, who could pass the ball brilliantly and open sides up but this insistence of passing the ball short and often and mainly sideways and backwards, God, it really has killed the entertainment.

I agree there was a time not too long ago when I could pick out many players that I'd wish to see play for Chelsea. Now I struggle to think of any.

You could point to that regarding Atalanta.

However Qarabag is the much greater sin imo and that one is down to all the players in that game allowing a bunch of sheep hearders and use car salesmen to hold them to a draw.
