Regardless of the opinions on Maresca its pretty clear that our confidence was shot after such a poor run. away from home. Looking at the reaction from the players at the final whistle you could see what it meant to them to finally get an away win in the league this year. Perhaps the smash and grab win will prove to be a turning point, just like it felt like one when Fulham did the same at our place. we shall see...

Dr. Socrates got a reaction from Jah Blair in Chelsea vs Ipswich Town (PL) Sun 13th Apr 25 14:00 GMTI think the fans were nervous because under no pressure Sanchez kicked the ball straight to an opponent while trying some weird long pass, then next time kicked the ball straight out of play. Can’t blame the fans for feeling restless watching the same thing happen over and over.

Dr. Socrates got a reaction from The Rising Sun in Chelsea (3) vs (0) Legia Warsaw (ECL) Thurs 17th April 25 20:00 GMTJust have to hope this Board have a plan in place, because the writing’s been on the wall for weeks now.
Actually they’ve probably been preparing to extend Maresca’s contract.
We’re so screwed.

Dr. Socrates reacted to BewareoftheDrog in Chelsea (3) vs (0) Legia Warsaw (ECL) Thurs 17th April 25 20:00 GMTThat's his role. He's a Baffler. He's there to confuse the opposition into thinking he's a good player. Very important role. Not widely used in the modern game. Unfortunately we seem to have more than one Baffler on the pitch.

This is their plan...

Dr. Socrates got a reaction from WeatherMan in Enzo Maresca - Chelsea "Head Coach" *Official*We sack Maresca what happens to the useless Board members who appointed him in the first place, and who failed to sign a decent striker, and lumbered us with Felix, Veiga, Tosin and KDH instead? Do they get to keep their cushy jobs when in any other business they’d be sacked for incompetence?

We storm the board room and occupy their seats.

Dr. Socrates got a reaction from PhilH930 in Chelsea vs Ipswich Town (PL) Sun 13th Apr 25 14:00 GMTHonestly. I think we’ve found our level in the Conference League. We still might not win it, but we’ve had a decent run. We would struggle in the Europa League as there are some decent sides left in there.
Champions League looks way beyond us. We’d need to tear up the “project” and have some proper investment to stand a chance.
I think we screwed up last summer when we needed to invest in players like Osimhen. But that boat has sailed. We’re going to struggle to attract players like Delap at this rate.

Not to mention we are going to struggle to keep the decent players in our squad as long as we carry on with this "project".

Dr. Socrates got a reaction from Jah Blair in Brentford vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 6th April 25 14:00 GMTNkunku shouldn’t be starting games. It’s obvious he can’t be bothered. I’ve no idea why Maresca is persisting with him. George has shown more in games than Nkunku. Anyone from the academy would put in more effort. What’s that about?

Yesterday I said we needed 5 wins to make top 5, still the case but with one game less now.
These are the kind of matches we have got to look to win if we want Champions League football.
This is crunch time, we need to start every league game with our strongest team - drawing isn’t gonna help us overtake teams.
I still think Maresca lacks the winning mentality to get us into the top 5.

Dr. Socrates got a reaction from Frankfurter in Brentford vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 6th April 25 14:00 GMTMaresca really shouldn’t be let anywhere near a club that has any ambition to compete at the highest level. He’d do well at Brighton. Which is what we’ve turned into.

Dr. Socrates got a reaction from STATS in Arsenal vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 16th March 25 13:30 GMTHow is it that as soon as the team line up was announced it was almost certain we were going to lose?
As soon as Arsenal scored the game was over. Must’ve been the easiest three points of their season. Maresca seemed pleased we only lost 1-0. The truth is Arsenal didn’t have to bother after they scored.
And Maresca was happy for the game to drift to its inevitable conclusion as did the players given the lack of any urgency.
How has it come to this? It’s pathetic.
