Everton sign Hayden Hackney from Boro for up to £25m including add ons. Boro's best player, his injury absence hurt them badly during the play offs. Looked quality at Championship level, interesting to see whether he can step up.

Rumours are true then, we cant buy anyone decent, just kids again

Meanwhile Tottenham show intent getting Tonali, to go with Fernandez, Robertson, and Van Hecke and are now looking to being in Junior Krupi for around 90 million

Werent we supposed to be buying him?

Not really sure how we can sign 21 year old Palestra for €60m which took a matter of days yet stalling on Lacroix.

Wait, never mind I've answered my own question.

One is that WC and the other isn’t.

Saibari, Grimaldo, Fernandes, Cucurella, Ramos, and Dumfries all signed whilst at the World Cup. We've been linked with Lacroix since January and been scouting him since he's been at Wolfsburg, under two different ownerships and working with a club we have a good relationship with. We've also agreed personal terms with Lacroix.

The hold up stinks.

But not agreed terms with Palace who potentially are in for £200k plus if he remains their player come the day of the WC final. Irrespective have any French WC players been given dispensation to conclude transfers ?

Why would the French be exceptions but not players of other countries? And where are you seeing the bold?

Some countries, like England in the past, have refused to let players have medicals etc during the period they are in the competition.I was asking about the French because they may well be operating under such an embargo

Didn't they also pay clubs for the CWC?

EDIT. Elliot Anderson had his MC medical at the Cup.

As I said England in the past. Interesting fact is that whilst he has had a medical the two clubs won’t/ can’t complete the transfer till England exit the competition

What the f**k are Spurs doing this window???

Newcastle also splashing the cash, but I don’t think they learnt from last season. €50m for Bazoumana from Hoffenheim, and potentially £42m for Manzambi from Freiburg.

The Bundesliga is a scary place to be throwing money at, and Dortmund are now demanding €120m for Felix Nmecha.
