Debut scorers for CFC

Okay folks, just a couple of lovely goals from our new lads the other day...scoring on their premiership debuts. Malouda and Pizarro. So, who can name other chelsea players who have scored in their first games for Chelsea, in the premiership (don't have to go too far back for that)

I was willing Sidwell to score when he came on so all 3 of our debutants could have scored.

I was just thinking before also about how Man City would have found it difficult to score without a debutant having put the ball into the back of the net having virtually all of their first team playing their first competitive game for the club.

What about Ambrosetti against Galatasasry, not sure if it was his debut though?

Not his debut. Not in the Prem.

Nor were these two that I can remember:

Trevor Aylott in 1977-8?

Nigel Spackman 1983.

I think Colin West also scored on debut - late 80s?

Trevor Aylott scored on his debut against Champions Elect Nottingham Forest in a 1-0 win I believe. He then scored the only goal of the game against Bristol City the next home game before his form levelled with the rest of the team in that era ;)

Colin West scored the only goal of the game against Arsenal in 1987. I think he only managed 1 or 2 more after that for us but he will be remembered fondly for that great goal and his performance in that game.

Andy Myers scored on his debut against Liverpool in the early 90's (2-2 draw also Robbie Fowler's debut for the mickeys).

Neil Shipperley scored on his debut too. I think against Wimbledon. Graham "Bobby" Stuart also did (against Palace?).

For a while it seemed as though any junior coming into the team was guaranteed a goal on their debut.

No it wasn't 247.gif

Forssell made his Chelsea debut when he came on as sub in the league match at Highbury on 31 January 1999 (we lost 0-1).

He scored those great goals against Oxford just three days later.

Was the first match against Oxford JT's debut?

Paul Elliott in 92(?)

Paul Hughes (what a debut goal that was!)

Paul Hughes at the Bridge who was the oppo???

Think he made a run and played a wicked 1-2.

Great goal!

Not as good as the goal Danny Granville scored that year though!!

Anyone remember JT's backpass at Anfield when he was coming through to the 1st team??
